The hotel and its environs are very nice with a massive garden and well in front of the main building itself. The interior décor is old fashioned (in a good way!) and has the feeling of a stately manor house. The staff were very attentive and polite, service was quick and the dinner was terrific!!! I love venison but rarely have I had it cooked to such perfection as when my wife and I ate at the hotel. It was tender, not overcooked and just amazing!!! The menu was reasonably priced and had a good variety of meals to choose from. The hotel has the advantage of being not right bang on the middle of town and just down the road heading back out of it! Very easy to find. My only negative was that on reflection, we weren't warned that there would be a wedding on the one night we would be staying, so with our room being above reception (and not far from the festivities) it took longer to get to sleep than usual! Otherwise it actually helped to boost the atmosphere prior to bed time. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

Very friendly staff. Reasonably costed menu although limited. Room spotlessly clean with a comfortable double bed and a great view out towards Findhorn Bay. New carpets throughout with a stunning staircase. Unfortunately no lift available. Plenty of parking space to front of hotel. Highly recommended

Explore old style hotel with friendly staff. Simple rooms with nice view to Findhorn bay. Impressive architecture. Feels like last renovation in the 90ies but has a sort of Charme. Simple breakfast.

It is relatively easy to find a good hotel. It is far more difficult to find one which is excellent and consistently excellent. My wife and 2 dogs and I had a wonderful break in October. We booked the first available date following the relaxation of lockdown restrictions and brought friends and their 2 dogs.Again were given rooms on the ground floor backing straight on to the glorious garden and with the added benefit of making it easy to take our luggage to the rooms and spared my old dog and myself having to battle with stairs! The rooms were cosy, spotlessly clean and the beds very comfortable. We all slept really well- dogs included. The meals were excellent and the menu large and extensive. The portions were large the food very tasty and my vegan requirements were met despite this being their first day of opening after a terrible and long lockdown. The garden and grounds are large and beautiful. There is no need to venture further but there is a large park and woodland just across from the hotel. Many hotels now accept dogs, but few are really dog friendly. The Ramnee Hotel certainly is! One member of staff came back in her own time to introduce her Beagle to our dogs and Chris the owner went up to his rooms to bring his own dog to the photoshoot. The icing on the cake. My thanks to all for a most wonderful stay. We hope to visit you again soon and wish you all the best in these very difficult...

While it is true the rooms are large and the hotel is a very old building which has some minor maintenace issues the staff is more than accommodating. We stayed here for 2 weeks and felt like we were family. They went out of their way to do early breakfast for us when we had to be in at work at 5:00 am. That is right, they put out breakfast at 3:30 in the morning just for my group. It was just the cold breakfast, coffee amd toast, but I can't think of many places that would do that for us. They offered have the chef purchase special ingredients for dishes we wanted.

I would gladly stay here again any time I am...
