Great little park and fun for the kids while parents get to sit and relax on benches. It's about 6-7 minutes drive from the Southport beach and there is plenty of parking on the quiet main road. There's plenty of things to do for the kids with swings, slides and a mini golf area, although not sure, think you have to bring your golf clubs and ball. It's a very quiet area and only seen a couple of people with dogs and there was no litter anywhere. The park is colourful and will get your kids tired from all the fun they'll have. Didn't see any bathroom near the park but think there might be along the long walk. There's also something very interesting in the park that I've not seen in any other parks before, exercise machines and I think that's a brilliant idea that'll get kids motivated to exercise. There's a long walk as well with flowers and a little water fountain. Can recommend this park for locals and if anyone wants a day out with the family too. The drive from Manchester was easy with beautiful places to see...

I like the park, for a walk and to do some exercise. I just really wish the council would put their hands deeper in their pockets and put some adult exercise facilities in the park under shelter somewhere. I went to Toronto Canada recently and most parks and see front walks have adult exercise facilities available, sit-up benches, pull up bars, monkey bars, adult size gym facilities.look after the town and provide positive activities for young adults and older adults too who are wanting to keep fit but for mental health issues stopping them going to a gym. I can guarantee the response and use of these facilities would be tremendous and it would have a positive effect on the public’s moral, people’s personal health and bring the public together. I know this won’t be seen, or even read by anyone of power or importance but at least I said it. It’s taken me to see the world to see how much work and a bit of tlc my home need. Every decision effects every future. Make the...

Visited Hesketh Park. What a lovely park it is. You have a cafe onsite that sells food & non alcoholic beverages. You also have an ice cream parlour. Which I personally wasn't a fan of myself. They also have a big children's play area. You can also play crazy golf in the park. £3 per person I was told. You have outdoor toilets that cost 40p to use. However, they are kept clean to my knowledge. They have a few walking trails with arch ways and steps to walk up to explore all the different areas in the park. They also have the Observatory in the park which isn't accessible to the public no more. They have the lake to walk around and the water fountains were in action. Very therapeutic to listen to especially on a sunny day. The cafe sellls duck feed for £1 so you can feed the ducks. It is a lovely park to visit. So if you ever go to Southport for a day or a holiday. Definitely...
