Lovely quiet location, I went for a few birthday pints with my mate and we was pleasantly welcomed by the owners and sat outside. The bar is very popular and attracts a lot of locals and regulars, lots of people talking with each other and having a nice time. We opened a tab and got two fresh pints which tasted far greater than I’ve had in a while. The lovely owners served us up some free nibbles to go with our drinks and we was made to feel very welcome instantly. The inside is lovely and has a very nice layout to it. Plenty of drinks to choose from, from wines and champagnes to beers and craft ales. I noticed to serve crisps, cheese and meat boards too with bowls of olives. Rules are applied literally with no common sense applied. Called by for a drink on a Saturday afternoon, wanting to sit outside with a teenager (13 for transparency, who was drinking Coke Zero.) and was told very rudely that I cannot frequent the establishment due to a no kids rule. Made the young man feel incredibly awkward and responsible for our ejection. Absolutely astonishing given it is a family run bar we have enjoyed previously.
