Eden Valley Museum — Attraction in Sevenoaks

Top place to visit. Called in on Saturday afternoon. Warmly greeted by the 2 very friendly volunteers on duty. We both found the history of the local area fascinating. The Museum is full of wonderful interesting history of the local area We only did the ground floor today as there was so much to read about and will be back to view the upstairs on a return visit. Fascinating details and artifacts. Why and how the town grew since the Roman road passed over our river and even before. Numerous famous people came from Edenbridge. It has well displayed detailed records of everyday life as lived over the last 200 yrs, with a big collection of artifacts and a new display which is researched and changed every year. Nice pub...

Free entry. Lovey museum on Edenbridge high street. The museum is in an old cottage on two floors. Lots of local artefacts including a hoard of gold coins found. Some more modern WW2 history too.
