Tasty Sunday lunch in beautiful ancient pub. Thankfully lighter than some - not greasy or salty. A couple of thick slices of tender roast beef. Enormous Yorkshire which tasted just like the ones my dad made every Sunday without fail. Slightly overdone on top - it’s a matter of just a few seconds in the oven between perfectly golden and overdone. You gotta watch them like a hawk -and whip them out at the precise moment which is hard to achieve! The veg were good - Savoy cabbage cooked to perfection with carrots and peas. Roast potatoes were nice. Served with individual gravy boat. The whole meal was not at all fatty or salty which we appreciated. Apple and pear crumble was homemade. Crumble super crispy and buttery. We booked 2 hours ahead but pub not busy so this would be a good option to try if you haven’t booked anywhere. Lovely pub garden too. Staff friendly and helpful ....

This is by far the best pub in Edenbridge and generally the area for many miles.

The food is professionally prepared using quality, fresh ingredients which makes a world of difference. The service is friendly and the staff will take the time to make you feel welcome from the moment you step through the door.

The interior décor and beer garden are stunning. Inside, the restaurant’s heritage and architecture is beautifully maintained and the outside space is everything you’d want from a country beer garden; manicured flower beds, plenty of trees and large comfortable picnic style tables.

No detail has been overlooked. Yes, there are other options in the vicinity but if quality matters to you, this is the...

I had one of the worst experiences and unprofessional services ever here at The Old Eden. I ordered their specialty of the day - salmon with vegetables and after waiting for ages I was served the thinnest piece of salmon ever which had a suspicious smell but I still went ahead with it. The salmon turned out being expired and having a stinky horrible taste which made me wanna throw it out instantly. A bad aftertaste + my stomach regretted having swollen that piece of rotten salmon. The only solution they came up with was to pay for another dish if im not happy with their "perfectly made" salmon. Avoid this place for the sake of your own...

Visited for an evening meal. We had booked ahead but there didn't appear to be any need to. The service was slow and the server although unfaultably friendly, was a little forgetful. I couldn't shake the vibe they were short staffed on our visit as the two front of house staff seemed to be running around desperately trying to keep people happy. Once we managed to get our food though, it really was a highlight. Lamb cooked to perfection and adored every bite. Would definitely come back for the food and recommend anyone looking for a place to have a couple of drinks or a nice meal to try this place.

We had our date night in this traditional high street pub. It's a cosy property with old oak beams and a fireplace. The staff were great despite being low in numbers due to absence. The two girls that served us worked very hard to serve a full restaurant with food orders, clear tables, take orders, make cocktails and drop the odd plate 😁 Top marks to them both. The food was tasty, hot and delicious. Our steaks were lovely with plenty of peppercorn sauce and button mushrooms. Booking is advised as people were turned away while we were there. We will return and get dessert next time
