A brilliant park for walking your dog. There is a proper play area with swings, slides & roundabouts etc. There's a basketball court & an area to play tennis. Its the walks that I love doing with my dog Molly. You can also walk from Southey Green to Firth Park which takes around 15-20 mins depending on which path you take. When you reach Firth Park Side you can see Longley 6th Form or you come out at the traffic lights where you cross and walk straight down into the centre of Firth Park where you have a wide range of shops etc. Molly loves this park as when we go in we never take the same route we always have a choice & I let her pick which way we are going. It's also good for fitness if your into running etc as you cam run round away from car fumes & know your safe. They do put bonfire displays on not every year though, but when they do its spectacular. Although the only downside is that if its been raining a lot does tend to flood the fields & lower paths making them wet, muddy with a lot of puddles some quite deep. The fields become waterlogged. So on these days you need your wellies or good pair of waterproof boots. All in all a...

Car park is situated near to the children's playground but there are several other pedestrian entrences. There are no formal flower beds or seating areas that you generally find in a park and it's definitely not the park I'd choose...
