This is a very impressive park/ open arena; I know that I only explored a very small part of it but was getting to the end of my energy levels after visiting 2 other parks close by. I went down into Ponderosa via some very scary and steep steps although they did seem less challenging when I went back up - not for the feint hearted or anyone with balance or vision problems. I’m sure there are other easier access routes down to the space as I saw runners, dog walkers and people with pushchairs enjoying the space. There are the most amazing views! I would like to revisit and have the opportunity to explore the whole of the park. PS Beautiful birdsong!

The Ponderosa near Sheffield city centre is a large valley shaped area of grassland with two mini woodlands included. There is no public toilets or cafe, you are forced to go to a public house nearby. The children's playground is poor, its mainly for small kids upto 5 years old. It is a nice place to go for a quiet walk, that is all.

Its my 10th day here in sheffield, got to know about this place via google and thanks for it, i have visited one of the best relaxing points here. The place is surrounded by residential flats and have open gym and open play equipments best suitable for kids. I visited there at night and had the best lone walk 😇

Visited this area once last year and it is another of the three Crookesmoor Parks. However, while relatively beautiful/nice with a lot of greenery and a few rock features/attractions further down, it is not quite as stunning as either Weston Park and Crookes Valley Park and there don't seem to be amenities such as a cafe nearby so it is my least favourite of the three parks. It also doesn't feel quite as easily accessible compared to the other neighbouring parks (which seem flatter in comparison) since it slopes down against the hill, with some of the paths being staircases downhill but it nevertheless feels quieter compared to the other two parks, given that it is mostly surrounded by residential properties, especially when you get further down, while the other Crookesmoor parks are near more amenities & the University. Other plus points about the Ponderosa are that its not too far from the tram (Netherthorpe Road, University & Infirmary Road) so not hard to access by public transport, has nice views of the Parkwood Springs hill and might be easier to get parking compared to the other two being as its surrounded by more roads and is a...

Starting from the section of the middle coast, (primarily speaking about the play section) ponderosa has an outstanding wide variety of basic, yet addicting selection of entertainment really screaming "old is gold". And they truly nailed it with the specialized swings that I have never seen being constructed (being my personal favourite). I would also like to add that when you finally found that place up the steep hills, you will find yourself in an optimistic mood, almost magical. I think with all this being brought up that I can truly say this place...
