This is the best kept secret you will discover - sandy beach! And it is proper, good sand. We had fantastic time. The beach was quite busy on Thursday and not so much on Friday. Nearest car park is National Trust one and it's free for members or £7.50 per day for non-members but on busy days can be full by 10.30 (on our first day it was full at 11.30 but on the second it never got full). The sea here is lovely and the beach clean and golden, so much so that it was easy to believe we had some how travelled abroad. Well worth a few hours if in the area - or even a little away from it. Read moreLovely sheltered cove with a very shallow tidal shelf, but watch out for anchors from boats that have visited the beach. The beach has a national trust car park, so members park for free. Beware that it is very difficult to get to this bay due to the very narrow lanes, but worth the visit. It's let down by the worst toilets you can imagine, run by the council, not the NT.
