We found this hidden gem while we were looking for a bite to eat at lunch time whilst we were staying at Salcombe for my husbands 60th birthday. Even a simple lunch was cooked to such high quality, we straight away booked our evening meal there. We were served by the lovely Mariana, who is so warm and friendly. We both ordered ribs, which was on the specials menu, which I highly recommend, everything was cooked to perfection, so much so that we booked again for the next evening on my husbands birthday. Mariana and her team of girls were amazing and really made his birthday so special, it was the highlight of our holiday and we were staying in a popular four star hotel, but we prefered to eat at the Wardroom, as the service and food were superior to the Hotel and the price was very reasonable. Thank you Mariana for making us feel so welcome. Whenever we come back to Salcombe we will definitely be eating at The Wardroom. Many thanks Maureen &...

Appalling customer service and though the product was run of the mill their grossly inflated prices were anything but.

So the old woman serving struggled with her English but insisted on being front of house.

We ordered 4 regular size coffees which came to £18 and then, even though they were not busy, we endured a 28 minute wait.

The waitress put the cups down saying what the drinks were and we got a cappuccino and not a Mocha. Then she came back and said no it is a mocha not a cappuccino. It did not taste like a mocha. The drinks were tepid at best and then after we finished it was another wait for the bill.

Overpriced offerings because 20% of seats are quayside, run of the mill drinks and dire customer service. I would give it...

Overpriced, bad service and not worth it. Came for brunch with a friend to get breakfast £15 for a full english with only 1 of everything no hashbrowns and a snotty egg. Eggs florentine was nice but only one slice of bread and slightly cold and soggy despite apparently being cooked to order? Waitress was rude not welcoming in the slightest and treated us completely different to other tables, if you cant be nice to paying customers dont work in customer service. Also £4 for a coke, orange juice or coffee is extortionate dont bother its...

We sat outside overlooking the harbour on a balmy late October lunchtime. The food was delicious, a spicy chicken burger and cesar salad. The burger had a little spicy zing, which is what was expected from the description, but so often lacking from other "spicy" chicken burgers elsewhere. The salad had plenty of the yummy bacon, cheese and chicken bits which can also often be overlooked for a bowl of lettuce leaves. Excellent fries too, BTW 😃 Would definitely recommend!
