This place seriously underdelivers. Portions are tiny—sides minimal, and the whole meal feels incomplete. You expect a proper kebab and leave still hungry. Compared to Quality Kebabs or Best Kebab in Southampton, Sultan doesn’t come close—those places offer double the portion, tastier food, and a far more satisfying experience. Even more frustrating is the value. For what Sultan charges, you’re nearly in steak territory. Add a few pounds more and you could sit down at a proper restaurant and enjoy a full steak dinner. You decide—kebab or steak, because the price difference isn’t far off. The place looks trendy, but it’s all surface. No sauces offered, no extras, and staff didn’t seem to care when I raised concerns. It feels like they’re cutting corners, and the food just doesn’t deliver. Absolutely unacceptable! Paid £16.80 for a Chicken Shawarma meal with extra meat and sauce. After just a couple bites, I realized there was almost no meat at all—just chips, salad, dry bread, and barely any sauce. I stood up and spoke to a staff member. He shrugged and said, “That’s how our portions are. Nothing I can do.” No apology, no solution. I went back to my table and ate what was there because I had no choice, not because I was satisfied. Staff were rude, and the music was so loud I couldn’t hear what anyone was saying. I contacted Sultan Shawarma directly. They denied responsibility, claimed I had already eaten the meal before taking the photo, and refused a refund. Ordered online, so I’m not sure about dine-in experience but the quality and taste of the food is amazing!!

I got the chicken box which came with fries, salad, pita bread and your choice of sauce (I got garlic). They even gave a little freebie piece of baklava! This is officially my new favourite local place.

Food was prepped and delivered to my door within 30 minutes (ofc deliveroo needs a special mention here for that)
