An exceptional garden, beautifully maintained with so many rare and interesting specimens especially from southeast Asia and New Zealand. 25 acres of surprises, from the walled garden and enormous Victorian greenhouse - full of colour and vigour although no longer artificially heated (bravo) - to the spectacular valley garden and stream lined with mature Dicksonia tree ferns. There are clean toilets just outside the entrance with appropriate sprays and liquid soap Also a disabled toilet The large car park is shaded...

The greenhouses are packed full of exotic and heavily scented plants, many were completely unfamiliar to me so it was an absolute delight. We come to Cornwall every year and stay at Pentewan but I wish we had discovered this garden before now. I think it will become one of our regular haunts. Some of the paths are rather steep but we'll worth the climb. Could do with a few more seats and some better signposting but we will definitely...
