St Austell Garden Centre is a very nice garden centre to visit. Even though it is not as big as Wyevale Garden Centre (which is just up the road from here, read more on my review) it is easy and plenty of room to park with free parking, really nice to walk around and a lot to see and buy. The staff are just great and if you need any help, they are there. This place is so full of colour and it really puts a smile on your face. Feeling a bit tired after walking around, yes there is a cafe, sit down, rest your feet and have a cup of tea and maybe something to eat and enjoy the view. It may not be as big as other garden centres but it's worth the visit and that is why I give St Austell Garden Centre Five Stars.

Brought a plant today from the clearance section. The plant looked a little worse for wear state but it looked like a little extra care would be able to bring it round again. After removing the plant from the pot it was clear there was no roots growing from the branch. It is effectively a branch in a pot of soil, there are no visible roots growing - which is likely why the plant is wilting and beginning to die. I am hopeful I will be able to propagate the branch, but do not know if this will be successful at this stage. I am aware it was from a clearance section and therefore reduced, but was not expecting there to be not roots and therefore have a much lower chance at successfully reviving the plant.

Great selection of hot and cold foods and sharing meals. Separate breakfast menu available in the morning too. Lovely homemade cakes, bakes and desserts. The cornish coffee is very good - I had 2 black Americanos! A nice warmly heated cafe in winter with plenty of outdoor seating for hotter days too.

We have been here many many times and spent considerable amounts fo money here for various projects. Today was strike three for us. We went in to price up for a large job and do some plant planning along the construction. Firstly no knowledgeable staff around to help or advice, asked at til re an issue with a tree told plant person in tomorrow no one there today!!!??? We then bought four discount plants as we like to rescue plants. This was rubg up on the til and overcharged us by ÂŁ8.50, had this issue twice before so check receipts always. The lady serving was very apologetic stating she was not usually on the til. The lady asked for help from the assistant manager, he started to talk her through what she needed to do in a very disrespectful manner. I walked away for a few minutes when i came back my husband was still waiting. The assistant manager then said for us to hold on while he served other customers. The lady still could not get the til to do the refund. We had been at the til for over 15 minutes at this point, the assistant manage came back to help once he had served seven other customers, then said again he needed to serve another custmer, i asked if he cpuld get another member of staff he said it was only the two of them. I then said well actually you need to be serving us first we didn't make the mistake but you're making us wait and serving other people is unfair, we've been here for over 15 minutes. The assistant manager then asked me if I 'could just have some patience' the lady behind the til pointed out that we had been there sometime and we had been very patient he was very obnoxious and rude in his manner when stating this to me. I felt it was very inappropriate comment, he then did eventually add up the plants even though we told him several times the amount it should be pointing out on the tabs, he then still added it up wrong and still did the refund wrong. For us this was the last time we will visit the garden centre and the last time we allow anybody working for us to use this garden centre. I hope the lady on the til finds new employment as I would never speak to a member of my staff in...

Firstly it is important that I explain to the reader that I am disabled both physically and mentally. The garden centre itself has improved beyond my imagination. A huge selection of plants of all sorts and the condition of them was superb. Plenty of well presented garden peripheries; pots to sharp sand. I can not imagine a gardener of all ages and experience not to find a gem there. Now the cafè firstly I had a coffee no milk I was given a Cornish coffee company espresso lovely, I'm fussy about my coffee and this I throughly enjoyed. My wife's tipple is tea (Well it's gin and tonic but she was driving today) she was served it in a charming tea pot, we accompanied this with an apple cake and a Bakewell tart. We had a terrific day out helped by wonderful staff, nothing seems too much for them. As we live locally, it was easy to get home and put our feet up and have a snooze. One thing I forgot to mention was dogs are welcome throughout the centre, naturally with the exception of the Inside of the cafè, there is plenty of under cover seating outside plus seating set on the grass ideal for the little ones? I close now and hope you enjoy my comments. Love...

Extremely disappointed, visited garden centre 4 months ago and placed an order for a stone Celtic cross as they had none in stock, lady filled in an order form and informed me it could be a while as they had to place a bigger order with company,it could be a couple of months,I said that’s fine,4 months on I hadn’t received a call or anything so popped into garden centre to enquire, they informed me that they have a delivery but can’t find my order, absolutely annoyed, the lady was very apologetic but basically got the impression “tough”,as they couldn’t do anything!,4 months I waited and nothing!!,I cannot recommend this garden unfortunately! Update! Hannah from the garden centre contacted me and was very apologetic and offered a kind gesture which I...
