Shephalbury Park — Attraction in Stevenage

24 acres of land, a lot of wildlife, great for exercise, a walk, a sit down on the benches or just for a breath of fresh air. There is gym equipment available for use, a basketball court and many goalposts spread out over the park (due to coronavirus, the equipment may not be available). There is a little playground which is great for younger children. Shephalbury Park is an attractive park in the middle of various residential areas and schools. It's also close to the Coptic church and Football academy. It's a pleasant park that you can walk around in a circular fashion once you've reached the main field. Facilities include: tennis courts (badly maintained!), a basketball court, outdoor gym workout machines, etc.

Stevenage may not offer many cultural or historic institutions, but there are plenty of parks and green areas like this one dotted around this town, with the lakes being its jewel...
