The Pear Tree — Restaurant in Stevenage

The Peartree is a great pub that have made some awesome improvements over the years. They have 2 bar areas, 1 sports and the other is chilled. There's a great outdoor sit down area out back and front. The vibes there is very chill bit the Bar Staff are usually excellent... very friendly and welcoming and they let you know the deals on shots ... which is always a winner. I'd recommend The PearTree for sure ...... good set of regulars down there too....

What a dump! Did not have half of what we wanted for a meal, it took ages for it to be served, the meals came up at different times and they forgot some of the sides. Was told when we 'phoned that there were plenty of tables only to find that when we arrived 10 minutes later, only a couple of dirty benches outside were available! Also the knives and forks supplied were dirty, still had food stuck to them! Do yourself a favour and give this place...

The pub had a big banner outside offering a special deal on children's meals so we thought we would go for dinner. This was on a Saturday at about 5pm, only to be told the offer didn't start til the Monday. Nothing on the banner outside to say when the offer started or finished.
