Central Forest Park is a nice place to go and walk around for yourself, but even more so with your 4 legged friend, there are lots of different ways that you can walk around on the different paths that are mown into the grass, there is the not too large lake to walk around and on top of that there is the play area with multiple climbing frames and slides for kids to enjoy or if you have older kids there is the skatepark that they can use. There is a small food hut on site that is excellent value for money, they don't charge too much for a quick snack which is good. The One BIG DOWNSIDE is that they have now decided to charge for parking which is ridiculous and just a money making scheme which I feel is totally unfair to charge for you to feed the ducks or walk your dog etc, parking on a place like this should always be free and if the local council is trying to use the excuse that it is people parking there and walking into Hanley for work etc. Then just allow free parking for a couple of hours and then charge after that so that people can go and enjoy a public beauty...

There's toilet facilities and ice cream, they might even serve chips, burgers and so on but I'm not sure on times for this. The walk around the water takes about 15 to 20 minutes but you could extend this by going up the hill and back down again. The hill is definitely not wheelchair accessible but the path around the water is well kept. There's a play area for young children and another for older children which are both enclosed by a small fence, the gates can be opened very easily. On my visits with family, the play areas have been quite clean with minimal litter. There is a skate park but this is situated away from the play area but isn't too far away from the car park. There are picnic benches dotted around the area and some other seating. Definitely a place you can go and feed the geese and pigeons so take some bird seed if you can, they'll...
Read moreCentral Forest Park in Stoke-on-Trent is a hidden gem that offers a tranquil escape from the city's hustle and bustle.
This park impressed me with its natural beauty and well-maintained grounds. The park's lush greenery, scenic walking trails, and serene lake create a peaceful ambiance that is perfect for relaxation and unwinding.
The park also offers a variety of recreational activities, including playgrounds for children and sports facilities for enthusiasts. The cleanliness of the park is commendable, with ample seating areas to sit back and enjoy the surroundings.
While I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Central Forest Park, I would have given it a full 5 stars if there were more toilets across the other end of the park. Nonetheless, this park is a wonderful spot for nature lovers and those seeking a peaceful retreat in the heart of...
