Turkish cuisine eaten at the market on the ground floor.
A hearty Turkish spinach falafel meal was eaten here. Be warned this has nil resemblance to falafel purchased at your supermarket. It's taste and composition is like certain types of naan bread in South Asian cuisine. Like a very soft bread, basically a moist flatbread, easily tearable, as I say very hearty, when you eat it you are certainly not doing yourself any harm (far from it). So very hearty, I didn't ask about gluten-free or any other allergens i may have needed forewarning concerning, I didn't really need to, you know when something tastes intrinsically good. Remarkably it had no egg, I am not entirely sure but you can check with the gentleman who runs the establishment.
There is nothing really to put you off from eating here. The food was prepared with love and delivered with great kindness. The background music was ethnically different to what you might hear on local radio. It eventually merged into soothing nondescript piano music. I imagine that is what would keep the average customer from complaining about the ambience.
The decor and furnishing is fantastic for a little place tucked away in between louder concerns. It's simple clean and without embellishment. As I tucked into the meal I lacked only a cutlery knife, there were only perfectly seviceable wood forks. In any case I improvised by using a second fork.
I did ask the chef/manager for some sauce to go with it. He was happy to oblige with yoghurt tzitiki. There's no array of condiments to go with your meal. And I got my first lesson in eating healthy. How can you know that you are when you are masking the taste with a hot sauce or something else? What was provided didn't destroy the sense of good food being eaten.
I left the premises with some rose flavour Turkish delight. Assured that it also aids digestion. The manager was kind enough to provide a doggy bag for this and the remainder of the herb-dressed olives I couldn't finish in one go. It's a pity that passing shoppers were not tempted by the sweet first and then the main meal after.
Very highly recommend by me. Simply because a good vegetarian dish was enjoyed. Next time I am there it is likely I'll opt for a lamb-based meal. I wouldn't bring my friends here on a false promise of the best full English in The Potteries. They can choose something better if they wish. My only concern is that how long is the tenure of this restaurant at The Potteries Center, in the meantime get it here...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was out shopping with my 3 friends and I forgot my handbag by a bench in the centre. It had only been 2-3 minutes since I forgot I left the bag but as soon as I remembered I had left my bag I went as quick as I could even though I was still in the shopping centre however by the time I got to the bench the bag was gone. I went back in the previous shops to see if I had left it anywhere else but it wasnāt there. So I went to and intu potteries customer service worker and told them what happened and asked them if they could help me in any way. I asked them if they could have a look at the CCTV footage as I saw a camera right above where I was sitting when I last had my bag but he said that heās not allowed to see the footage. I donāt understand what kind of rule is this because I thought cameras are there for a reason. I asked several times politely to have a look at the footage however he refused each time. Even my friends thought it was silly that they could watch the footage. All the man said was that I should try calling the police however I found it pointless because he told me they wouldnāt be able to do anything until in a couple of days. I was really upset because I had a lot of money inside my bag and lots of valuables including my phone. Maybe if the guy showed me the footage I would of been able to track the bag down as I would of known which direction the person went as it wasnāt that long my bag was out of my sight. Iām conclus I think that the workers in the potteries are very bad and need to understand that CCTV cameras are used for reasons. I find it completely insane how the intu customer service themselves cannot access the footage. Iām just really annoyed because there were a lot of valuables in that bag. I had Ā£75 and an iPhone XS and the bag it self costs Ā£30. I just think itās unfair because if someone robbed an expensive item from one of the shops then they would check the CCTV immediately however when it comes to something that doesnāt bother the workers it...
