We had a brilliant visit to the MAC Panto. A last minute decision on a rainy day. Quick phone call to sort tickets and lunch. Greeted by name on arrival. Had lunch in the child friendly cafe and watched a truly super Cinderella. The staff at Mitchell Arts Centre were all welcoming and helpful. Our grandchildren aged 3 and 5 asked on the way out if they could come back every day! p.s. there are a host of child workshops and other activities AND parking is free in the Tesco next door if you fill out your reg number in the foyer.

Went to watch pongos party with my children. Extremely helpful staff. Spoke to them before my visit as my son is in a wheelchair. Very accessible for him although he has a special buggy that allows him to recline which helped with his head support as wheelchair space is on a steep(ish) incline. Make sure breaks are well on. Did find there are not much space between seat rows and from the left side we couldn't see everything that was happening as it happened. But my son loved his visit and the show he went see.

Nice place. Good size stage. Long queues for drinks and toilet. Asked staff about buying a mug out the display cabinet at the start of the evening. As they have no shop to buy memorabilia. They were to busy so I left it until the end of the night and asked again. To be told it was to late we,re closed. There loss of around £50. As I always by more than I should. Disappointed in that. But the show was amazing! Believe the hype.

The show that I saw was really good, so I am sad to only be able to give 2 stars. However, I've had to reduce the star rating because of how badly I was treated as a disabled person. The jobsworth woman in the theatre was quite hostile and treated me like a 3rd class citizen. She took away my walking aid, saying that it was a fire hazard. She put it where I couldn't see it at the back, saying that the staff would look after it and bring it back to me. However, at the end of the show, they had left my walker at the back and I was waiting for them to bring it, but I couldn't see that they'd gone. Plus anyone could have stolen it as nobody was taking care of it. Finally I got someone who was willing to fetch it for me, as I couldn't get up without it. I felt as though my legs had been taken away. Also, in the interval, one of them was bringing my walker and then took it back again and waited until the other people had gone before bringing it back, with no communication plus leaving me to battle through the crowd for the toilet. They made it obvious that they regarded me as a nuisance from the get go, trying to even take away my walker when I was still leaning on it to sit down on those awkward seats. I was spoken to like a naughty schoolgirl in detention, despite my advanced years. It spoiled my enjoyment of the show as it...

BE AWARE

I was on a weekend away with 4 friends for my 60th, booked and paid for a concert Gold to Rio on the Saturday morning it was cancelled by the afternoon via the staff at Mitchell arts centre. Requested refund was sent an email unfortunately we cannot do it will be in touch when they can! No further explanation!!! If they explained better and not been blunt I would have been more understanding

Waited a few days no contact I emailed a gain, eventually someone organised and rang to process a refund when I said I would contact trading standards. I was then told they are WITHHOLDING £15 due to booking fees. I have paid for the pleasure of booking tickets in good faith to have them cancelled within a few hours. This is not acceptable on any level and will be...
