The Reardon is a comfortable, traditional pub in the centre of Hanley/Stoke-on-Trent. Very much an old-style establishment, it appeals to a clientele that's more advanced in age - when I visited, all other people there were considerably older than me, and I'm 52. You can apparently rent the place for private functions, too. The decor is like you'd expect: all dark wooden furniture, rather comfy. They have a small menu of sandwiches, wraps, and stuff - nothing too substantial. The person behind the bar that day (youngish woman) was a bit short with me, although the place was only sparsely occupied in the middle of the afternoon. They do have a solid selection of hand-pumped ales (nothing too fancy, as you can imagine). Had an hour and a half before show and settled in to the bar. Lovely service from the staff. Nice and friendly and helpful. Food was pretty straightforward but tasty and a good price .
