As a present for my 60th birthday three of us spent two amazing days with Steve spotting over 70 species of bird. It was the most wonderful experience and two weeks later I still feel floaty and relaxed. Many many highlights but top 3 were spotting kingfishers, peering at a goldcrest through a hedge and watching a group of housemartins swooping overhead for at least 15 minutes. Not to mention the 3 cuckoos !!! I learned so much about taking photos and managed to get some (for me) stunning shots. Everything was perfect - the walks, the locations (crossroads of fields of corn), the photos Steve took of distant birds, the refreshment stops, the banter, the knowledge, the hides, the people we met in the hides - just everything. Even though our boat trip was cancelled due to high tides Steve stepped up with alternative walks. I am a recent convert to bird watching and the trip just made me even more determined to do more. I will definitely be attending more trips. If you are thinking of treating someone to a bespoke tour like mine (thanks Sarah & Fred) you won't regret it. I now have a new nickname - Little Miss Wow as I just couldn't stop saying wow all the time ๐Ÿ˜€

I cannot recommend Steve "the bird whisperer" of GG WE highly enough. I have had 2 fabulous mornings with him, one with the family on a walk around Goring Gap, one spotting kingfishers and Goldcrests, and a fabulous dusk watching starling murmurations. His knowledge is superb, his hearing is superhuman, his ability to identify, locate and show you wildlife is second to none. If photography is your thing, Steve helps you obtain THE best shots. Book him!

A great couple of hours spent looking for Kingfishers in Goring & Streatley! Steve definitely knows his stuff which really helped and enabled the group to spot the Kingfishers whizzing around, including one which landed no more thank a meter and a half away in bush.

What a wonderful way to spend the morning before a day's work. Steve is so knowledgable about all the wildlife, birds and surroundings as we stoll along the river. I carefully timed the date of my walk following expert advice from Steve when he knew Mr Kingfisher would be busy up and down the banks feeding his new family. And he did not disappoint! (Mr Kingfisher AND Steve) We were treated to quite the display. So beautiful. One word of warning though - you can be deep in conversation with Steve, quizzing him about red kites or ducklings & chatting about huge pike in the Thames...THEN he'll be distracted because he hears the kingfisher incoming - about half a mile away!! He doesn't miss a thing! You know Steve enjoys taking small groups out along the river & local environs - this is his absolute passion. I went along on my own but you soon start chatting to others in the group. A joyous, relaxing way to spend a morning, 5...

I recently attended the Bushy Park Experience with Little Owls. Iโ€™m actually a pretty regular visitor to the park and, although I had heard that little owls did reside there, I had never seen one. 15 minutes after meeting up with Steve we had a brief glimpse of a little owl chick, followed by 10 or 15 minutes observing one of the adults enjoying the early morning sunshine. The Bird Whisperer had delivered! Steve has a great ear for bird and animal calls and a great knack for spotting them. It was a very enjoyable couple of hours. Steve is a very knowledgeable, friendly guide and I learned several new things on the trip and got some nice shots. I hope to make an appearance on one of his other...
