I asked for butter chicken curry as a take out. I get back to my home and I get what I can only describe as a korma with chicken breast which looks like its packet sliced chicked brought in tescos.. Being Indian I know what it should taste like and this was far from it. This is nothing in have had before. Totally disappointed. How is this a £13 curry

Nice place for dining especially on Saturday nights when it is too crowded outside. We came in without booking and they managed to set a table for 4 of us. The staff were welcoming and helpful. We tried their meal set for 4 and they were flexible to swab some dishes from the menu. The food was delicious and fairly priced.

Had a terrible experience at Masooms this weekend. It's been a while since I've visited but was surprised how downhill it's gotten. The curry was very oily, food colouring used in the prawn puri and flavour was not authentic at all. Very disappointed

While on a barge holiday on the Thames, we moored up in Goring. A bit jaded with pub style eating, we decided that we would have a curry but take away as we have a dog and they aren’t allowed inside, however they do have seating outside which we could have used. We thought that the prices were a little on the higher side but holiday treat and all that. We were not disappointed. WOW, all three of us had something different and all three of us said that it was one of the best curries we had ever had. The bhajis were absolutely amazing, good size and great texture and taste. I had the Lamb Halim, and honestly I’d pick that as my last meal on earth. So I’d say to anyone if you’re in the area or even an excuse to visit Goring, you must try Masooms, as I’d be very surprised if you weren’t blown...

Ate here on a Saturday night. Busy... But its a very popular place - so pleased we booked ahead. Really nice atmosphere in the restaurant, everyone was in a good mood and loving the food. Great service. Very tasty food, meat lovely and tender. Will definitely eat there again. At the end of the night... The train back to reading was cancelled and no taxis until 1am... We were stranded... But one of the staff offered, In his own car, to drive us all the way to the centre of Reading and wouldn't take a penny off us. As we waited for him in to take us.... We also got to see the staff set up for the next day... Pristine table clothes ironed on the table! All the glasses and cutlery checked and set out precisely. All the chairs cleaned... They clearly take great pride in their restaurant,...

I ordered an all vegetarian meal, a curry, a potato dish, and special fried rice. With the exception of the rice the rest was swimming in oil.not a good result for what I was expecting. I then had to poor off the oil in order to be able to eat the meal. I was under the impression that good chef’s cooking Indian meals rotate their cooking bowls that encourages the oil to burn off! Will think hard before I ordering again. Sorry! This oil thing gets worse, when we discarded the remains of the meal into the rubbish bin and the scraps settled in the bin the oil drained into the bottom of the bin and we had to poor off the oil as it had spread all through the...
