East Essex Aviation Museum — Attraction in Tendring

This place is a hidden gem! I've lived locally for 40 years and only found out about it recently. The staff/volunteers are very friendly and knowledgeable. There is a nice variety of items in the exhibit. The museum is located in an old Martello fort. The East Essex Aviation Museum is run by enthusiastic volunteers and is located in the Martello Tower at Point Clear. There is a lot to see; mainly fragments of WW2 aircraft dug out of the ground from crash sites around East Anglia, and recovered from the sea shore.
