Great views of the Clone Estuary towards Mersea Island and a firm favourite with dog walkers, beach hutters and family day trippers. There is a car park for the beach adjacent (pay and display from 31st May to 1st September only) and the kids beach here is Blue Flag beautiful. Usual cafe fare of burgers, nuggets paninis, potatoes etc. Great ice cream selection and also sell crab lines, buckets, kites and spades. No interior seating and only ten or so tables outside so the main criticism is it can be hard to find a table. Also it is very popular so can be long queues on busy, hot, summer days. Prices are very reasonable. All in all not much more you could ask from...
