Came here with my partner at the weekend. We've found it very hard to find accessible escape rooms and CTRL ALT ESC clearly stated on their website that Ye Olde Lock Inn was accessible and much to our delight, it was completely accessible! There was one short steep ramp in the room but it is easy to get around with a walker and I'm sure easy when using a wheelchair too. The staff were fantastic, the person who guided us through the experience was welcoming, they made sure everything was an inclusive as possible, made it even more fun and enjoyable. And they also kindly showed me around after we'd finished so we could see how easy it would be to get into the other rooms. They also said I can take my time getting to the rooms and have breaks when needed, which is very much appreciated! After we'd finished the room they also took the time to talk to us about the room we'd just completed.
Highly recommend and we will 100% be back!
update! We've been back since and played all but one of their rooms. Today they kindly waited for me to get up a flight of stairs and have my wheelchair carried up. We played the Santa's workshop rescue room and it was completely accessible once in there but you do have to get up the stairs somehow if you can ( I bum shuffle!) Amy ran our room today and made the experience very immersive. She was enthusiastic and fun. Definitely be back when the new...
Read moreGreat experience. Great people who run it. I would recommend to anyone looks to spend an hour or so doing a fun activity. Paul was great at keeping us intrigued and keeping us going. Fun for all the family.
I have done Frankenscape which was a great experience and it was a good combination or puzzle work, riddles and common sense with a creepy frankenstein themed setting. It was really good and an overall amazing experience. I will defo come back to try out Spacescape.
Today I did Spacescape with my girlfriend and it was amazing. The theme of a space ship was great and the realism of the room was amazing. The only potential bad thing about the room is the crawling but that led to alot of laughs between me and my girlfriend. The crawling isnt cramped and theres plenty of room to move around. Now that ive tried two rooms I really want to try Detention. Paul was great...
Read moreAs a family who’ve done our fair share of escape rooms (over a dozen), we were really impressed with Detention. Fun puzzles, cool soundtrack, and hints delivered over the school tannoy were a great touch. Rae, our host, was fantastic—friendly, engaging, and intuitive with just the right level of guidance. We enjoyed it so much that we came back the very next day to play Ye Olde Lock Inn. This second room had a completely different vibe, but was just as enjoyable. It was more collaborative, and our kids (two 15-year-olds and a 17-year-old) especially loved the style of the puzzles. It felt like a real team effort, helped along by the excellent in-character bartender. Rae hosted us again and continued to pitch the clues at exactly the right level—supportive without spoiling the challenge. Highly recommend both rooms and big kudos to Rae for helping make our 2 days in...
