This place is mustard. Young families. Day out. Jolly boys .

The safety and cleanliness is second to none. Check it out the lifeguards are on full alert during the summer my months .

Toilet facilities are adequate and very acceptable for the amount of people that use them.

Cafe , hot food and drinks. The shops stock as much as possible to cater for our needs.

I love this place. I had days out with the school. My mother loved it and took us as kids to the seaside.

I spent my teenage driving years in convoys of 10s of motors .

In my 20s/30s I took my own family on a yearly basis sharing this happy place with all our friends.

I'm now 45 and this beach has so much more to offer than my beautiful memories.

Joss bay is a very special place be it camping on the cliff tops or enjoying the more than Mediterranean sands.

On your way home find the Captain Digby . A little munch and a cuddle with the one's you love .

Promise you lot dont let the seagulls spoil your views of this place it's magical if...

Lovely sandy bay near Broadstairs in Kent. Plenty of parking at the top. Chargeable March to October 31st then free! Dogs are permitted off season, nearby Kingsgate ( 5 minutes ) is dog friendly all year. Joss bay is suitable for surfers and there is a surf shack on the beach but it was closed when I visited on November 11th. There are public toilets in the slipway leading to/from the beach. At low tide it's possible to get around to the next bay but please beware of the tides. It's a great place for ship spotting, even better from the car park. There is also a walk along the cliff top but beware that parts are not fenced. I walked from the car park towards Dumpton Gap , Cliffe Terrace is lovely and quiet, the views are very good out to see and there are some beautiful houses you can...

Joss Bay is a picturesque sandy beach with plenty of space for building sandcastles and enjoying the seaside. The beach is backed by beautiful white cliffs and offers chair and parasol rentals, along with a seasonal lifeguard. There is ample paid parking available and also parking (nearby) for £5 for the whole day, making it convenient for extended visits or camping.

However, I found the beach to be not very mobility friendly. Although there are ramps leading from the parking area, the sandy terrain and lack of dedicated mobility aids make it challenging for those with mobility issues. Overall, it's a great spot for a classic beach day, but accessibility might be difficult for...

My favourite beach as a child. Always brings back very fond memories of family trips. They beach is lovely, it is also turned everyday to limit the amount of seaweed on the sand, thus not so many sand flies. It is safely life guarded with a separate area for surfers, kayaks and other sports. Red and yellow flags for bathing, black and white for sports. The cafe is reasonable and the staff are lovely. You can hire sun loungers, parasols and windbreaks at a reasonable price. The rock pool is plenty of fun and a must for our visits there.

Joss Bay — Nice beach with some downsides 🏖️ ✅Pros: • Clean and well-maintained. • Usually free parking spaces available. • Affordable prices. • Sunbeds, umbrellas, and windbreaks available for rent. • Toilets and a café on site. ❌Cons: • Very crowded, especially on weekends and hot days. • Sea can be dirty (unfortunately, that can happen anywhere). • Long journey due to traffic and narrow roads. • Overall, Joss Bay is a good option for a day trip if you don’t mind the crowds and the drive.

Worth the visit for sure. Not busy at all and sea is usually calm and suitable for kids. Lifeguard available, toilets and parking as well. Some see weeds but not enough to ruin the experience. Sand bank was huge and mostly clean. This beach specifically has a gelly fish warning. Luckily all good for us, but is worth informing people. The only thing missing is a bar/cafe nearby. They have only a shop renting chairs and umbrellas. Careful with seaguls, they are quite annoying ans invasive
