Joss Bay Cafe — Restaurant in Thanet

Perhaps he was having a bad day ...but the chef was so rude to us that we walked straight back out. Looked and sounded like Conor Macgregor, and with a very similar attitude to match !! Arrived - on bikes - to a very empty cafe - and carefully stacked them next to a table we intended to sit on. He watched us do this for the next two minutes before grumpily telling us we couldn't leave our bikes there. Making no suggestions as to an alternative solution ! I repeat ...not one table outside had any customers on it ....and our bikes did not block any thorough fares. Left without sampling any food or drink. As a local family we will warn all our friends about the service here...and stick in future to the better alternatives at Stone, Viking...

Actually went to the Joss Bay. Not Joss BayCafe. Beautiful beach. Clean and unspoiled.Absolute sun trap all day. Not crowded during the week but I would suspect the beach gets busier during the weekend.

Adequate facilities where you can hire deck chairs or/ and manual sunscreens for shading. Decent parking bays which is a short walk to the beach. Will be...

Has had a facelift since the previous owners and now has limited space to sit inside and eat. The menu is limited to sandwiches and burgers which are ok for the now higher prices. Service seems a lot slower than it used to be but the biggest downside is they often close early at 3.30pm when there are still many people wanting food and...
