Croxley Common Moors are a hidden gem, tucked away on one side behind the Grand Union Canal and straddling the south easterly edges of Croxley Green are 100 acres of grassland nature reserve in the flood plains of River Gade.

The Moor is a designated SSI for there are 250 species of wild flowers.You will find through year many types of birds and butterflies including cuckoo,reed and sedge warbler, white throat, reed bunting. On the butterfly front I have counted 10 species including small heath and small copper. Overall it's a great to take a...

Absolutely stunning! A short walk from the station ... peaceful and vast open fields. A walk along the river gade with swans is an experience. We went with kids and they had a gala time walking in and out of the shallow water! Just be careful that kids stay under an adults...

This is a beautiful spot and a great place to see wildlife including the Little Egret, Kingfishers and Muntjac Deers. Lots of dog walking paths and fully enclosed with River Gade running along one end and adjacent to the Grand Union Canal.
