Well worth including on visits to Clovelly. Walled gardens cultivated fruit and vegetables plus lovely bee and butterfly attracting flower borders. The grape vines looked diseased which was a pity but the other greenhouse plants were thriving - including oranges and figs? The church was open and full of Clovelly history all around. A six bell very thick walled tower with impressive stained glass window just one outstanding feature. The full and huge graveyards are testament to lives lost at sea as well as wars and usual causes. The family house is interesting too with turrets to the corners and grey tiles to the rear wall. Great views over the coast and surrounding fields. The carpenter workshop is open to see wood turning and finishing. Great products to buy and admire the skills plus wonder at the beautiful local wood being used....

It's definitely worth a visit, we chatted to a lovely lady potting up seedlings in the greenhouse and to one of the gardeners a really.relaxed friendly atmosphere. There is also a lovely little church in the grounds, and we visited a wood turner's studio on our way out where we saw some beautiful handmade...

The drive up is fast and furious, on par with any rollercoaster ride. Great place, Pub at harbour reward for climb down. I would visit again but...
