It is hard to contain your excitement when visiting Daws Castle, only to have dashed in a bucket of cold water. To describe this as a Castle would be to engage in unbridled optimism, in fact to identify a stone wall covered in vegetation as a Castle would seem to do a gross disservice to the likes of Windsor, Alnwick and the crusaders castles of the middle east, which might not have been anyone's finish hour, but there remains are much more...

Please be careful as you can see I parked my car by where the road is closed on the blue anchor bay side we were not got long and it got vandalised all panels were damaged, my wife is disabled both mentally and physically, I believe someone must have taken offence to my car parked were it was,I did display a disabled blue badge. A simple note on the window would have...

There is no castle only the site where it once stood so don't expect ruins,stones or anything but a lovely well kept field for walking around or through. Beautiful location with lovely views. Parking limited and bear in mind the B3191 is closed permanently from here to Watchet, walking or...
