A snug man made beach protected by a built up environment that includes Knightstone Island, Knightstone Causeway (sea wall) and Madeira Cove along the Promenade. The beach is popular with local and visiting families as well as those seeking to dip their toes in Marine Lake, an artificial cove built in 1927 to allow for bathing at low tide and all year round. Salt water bathing can be enjoyed here without the dangers that face neighbouring stretches of sand and sea such as erratic currents or sinking mud. The beach is regularly used by local swimming groups, paddle boarders, toe dippers and sun bathers when the weather permits. No dogs are allowed on this section of beach at any time. A great safe enclosed space within reach of bars, restaurants and other historical landmarks such as Birnbeck Pier and Prince Consort Gardens.

Amazing place to relax with the family to leave the kids to enjoy the sand, sun and water . The lake is really nice to use to water sports being close to the shops close to restaurants and coffee shops. The bridge is sensational to walk and also the side walk around the lake is relaxing and nice to enjoy couple of min/hours off. The view is also amazing full of hill houses around. A lot of parking facilities around the beach.

Great if you've got young kids as it's enclosed. Also love the path which goes around marine lake, with the bridge across the middle. Amazing to see the sunsets here, highly recommended if you want an easy walk. Only downside is the parking, this being hit and miss whether there's a space, it's also quite expensive but considering it's by the beach still reasonable

A lovely place to go with the kids. A man made tidal pool with a small sand beach. Somewhere that the tide is actually in at Weston :-) Our kids had a fab time in the water, lots of inflatables there to purchase or bring your own. There is a small shop\stand at the top of the steps that sell ice cream, teas and coffees etc as well as selling trinkets and inflatables that they inflate for you. Take a walk around the lake and explore the rock pools on the opposite side to the beach. The Stones cafe have toilets and sell snacks and ice creams. All in all a...
