Stones Cafe — Restaurant in England

Sadly yet again we were really let down again by the waiting staff and the wait for food at stones today 😔 I don't usually review places as I don't like to moan but it's safe to say we won't be going back which is a real shame as we gaveit the benefit of the doubt after not a great experience before this one. We were told a 25 minute wait which turn into 40 minutes with only half the order arriving and then the rest if the order 10 minutes after the first lot. Staff were to be honest not interested in making the situation any better which is what makes us not want to go back there was no apology no communication to the customers on the further delay on food a simple 'sorry your food is on its way it's taking a little longer than normal' would have made the situation a lot better instead we were ignored and then told the staff 'don't know why food took so long'. When the second part of the order arrived it was luke warm and overcooked by this point i had given up I took my food up to the counter and asked for a refund as what I was served was not what I ordered. The server simply put the money on the counter without an apology or asking if the food could be redone for me or offer to reorder food. It's a real shame, hopefully this review is taken as constructive criticism in the bid to see improvement I'm sure it's not usually like this but the last few times we just seemed to have...

Absolutely appalled by the service received by the management this morning. Ordered 2 build your own breakfasts, for us not to be able to eat half of it! The beans were cold, the mushrooms.... covered in pepper! That pepper was then also all over the egg and the hash brown and the sausage was really pink inside and didn’t look cooked properly. We were not asked if we wanted white or brown bread but came with brown bread which was burnt! Not once were we asked if everything was ok. When the plates finally got taken the Arrogant manager just said “Ta”... when we tried to complain about the pepper he turned his back and walked away.., then replied with “the mushrooms are cooked in pepper and white wine!” No mention of this on the menu... if I wanted pepper I would have used the shaker on the table!! absolutely disgusting! The one star is for a compliment to the girl in the grey zip hoody who brought our drinks over... service with a smile. When the manager first came in he was handling a dog blanket and what looked like a dog lead, he did not wash his hands before dealing with stuff behind the counter. Will never go there again! If you eat here ask what things...

Stones made an exceptional venue for my private party Thursday 3rd May. I had between 70-80 guests coming from all over the area and had no idea how to plan or cater such a big event. Stones is an excellent location full of character and presence. Located on the causeway it made a natural choice and was a chance to showcase the ‘Best bits’ of Weston my Home town. Richard was really friendly and helpful with the planning and gave really sound advice on menu, room layout, Welcome drinks, music, canapés and main course hot food stations. I found Richards personal touch and support planning my Big event made all the difference and I approached a personal milestone moment with complete confidence that it would ‘be alright on the night’. On the night in question Richard was on hand to meet me and help set up. All supported by his team of Professional, friendly and interested staff who ensured my guests and I had the best night and an occasion to remember for the rest of my days.
