Kid's Konnection Playground — Attraction in Abita Springs

Was traveling through the area when the kids needed a break. So glad we chose this park. It is absolutely amazing. A little confusing to get into if you park in the gravel lot. I didn't know that you could park in the big parking lot that looks like it belongs to another building. But you have to go to the side of the fence that's furthest away from the road, the gate isn't locked on that side.

The park itself is amazing. There are so many different things to do. There's a small childrens playground that is also handicap accessible. It is very toddler friendly. There is also a swing area, a misting and water play area. There is a giant sandbox with toys, there is also a bigger kids playground as well. This place has so much to offer. Oh, and can't forget about the real life firetruck. My son had a blast playing in it.

This is a great and awesome public park. Don’t hold your kids bday party there though with out “making a reservation”. A man walked up to me and twins’ first birthday that I’ve had planned there for months to tell me usually he’d ask me to leave but was willing to give me a pass if I was gone before a certain time. This was so embarrassing. I’m a young mother and this was in front of my children and in laws. Mortifying. Everyone felt unwelcome. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had a public park. It is public isn’t it? For public use isn’t it? I was there from 1-3:30. We were quiet and reserved. You can ask them themselves. It was a one year old bday party. Everyone was so uncomfortable and it made me uncomfortable and the whole day was kind of brought down...

What an amazing and unique playground! This is an all abilities playground to serve all children especially those who might not be able to play as easily in your typical playground. There are lots of wheelchair accessible play structures including a real firetruck that children can play inside. The sandbox is so much fun for the kids to use their imagination and dig all sorts of playful games. Lots of shaded areas including a covered pavilion with lots of tables for sitting. I loved the whimsical design of this playground with the vine covered arbors, beautiful trees and walkways. The bathrooms were clean on the day we visited and looked really well taken care of.
