Bakers Island — Attraction in Addison (Webster Springs)

What a great city park! Used to come here as a young kid for custard (yes the custard stand used to be at Bakers Island) and to hoop against the locals. It was great then and it's great now. The town puts on a great weekend with the Woodchoppers Festival.....the food, the concerts, the niceness of the locals, the amazing skill of the competitors. All surrounded by the water and the mountains in this park nestled...

Paved walkways and new pavilions made it easy to access event for the Webster County Woodchopping Festival.I was on a powrscooter and found the venue easily accessible.Parking is very limited and needs improvenent.There was a $5.00 charge to enter the event then the vehicle would have to leave to find parking streetside.The event was hampered by rain but umbrellaaand ponchos kept the food...

i’ve been coming to this park since i was barely the age of one and i have always had a great time! sure i’ve seen a few fights and police getting involved but it’s quite rare. i love watching the football players and cheerleaders, and i’m glad corona hasn’t stopped these kids from doing what they love most!...
