Chochenyo park is a very nice park that is both historic and peaceful and a nice stop when trying to get out of busy park st., when you barely want to walk a block. Chochenyo is usually not very crowded, and is all grass and trees with some benches, trash cans, and a closed (unfortunately) gazebo. A fun place to stroll, play ball and frisbee, and just hang out with others or rest and read under the trees while listening to bird calls. Worth a checkout and maybe you will come back and visit again! Read moreGreat place for a picnic or a stroll! This small park feels like half a block wide and a couple blocks long, in the middle of a quaint neighborhood, just off of the main Park Street shopping area.
It's basically a large lawn with lots of trees and a simple paved path snaking its way through. There are several park benches and a couple of picnic tables littered throughout.
We came here for a picnic of 20 people on Sunday afternoon and it was nice and quiet, with plenty of spaces with shade on the lawn. It wasn't busy at all with maybe four or five other small groups hanging out...
Read moreA wonderful place to stop and enjoy the world along with restrooms gazebo and is wheelchair accessible centered in the middle of the town is a perfect place for picnic which is why they have wonderful little picnic benches I love it so much the only thing I would change is that doesn't have a place for kids to play such as upper structure swings or other but if you don't have children that are super energetic I would suggest you go there or even if you do have energetic children it will automatically make them calm just the most wonderful place...
