This park has so much packed in! It’s next to a school so when school isn’t in session the gate is sometimes opened and there’s access to the blacktop including blacktop games and basketball hoops. There are four baseball/softball diamonds, tennis courts, a ping pong table, shuffle board, nice bathrooms (with changing table), picnic tables, and mini stage plus the awesome play area. The play area is broken into two sections- a large structure play area and a small structure play area. The large area has the EXPANSIVE structure a long wobbling balance beam, a swing set with standard only swings (long chains for high flying). The structure has four different sections connected by monkey bars, bridges or tunnels. There are three slides (a short, a spiral and a tube), steps, ladders, activities, monkey rings, monkey bars, tunnels, bridges, sliding pole, gymnastics bar, step climbing wall, and look out bubbles. There’s so much… at times it felt like too much if that’s even a thing 🙃 The smaller area is somewhat gated (not all the way. Only a few openings) and it is very spread out. There a small structure with three slides (short, double, and tube), steps, ladders, tube tunnel, look out bubbles and activities. In this play area there’s also a balance beam, an arch, a bucket swing set, a sitting hut perfect for a quiet break and …. My favorite part… a dragon feature that appears to be swimming in the ground and then its head pokes out of the sand box 🐉 my sisu loving kid was thrilled (also doubles as a climbing feature). Near the sand box is a wonderful covered sitting area with picnic benches. Something Ive noticed at this and other Alameda parks, is a sign near the playgrounds saying “food free area” explaining that some playground friends have food allergies and it’s important everyone is safe. Such an awesome idea. Way to go Alameda Parks @playarpd 👏🏼👏🏼 Street parking on Otis Dr, High St, Calhoun St...
Read moreit’s a park with lots of green grass and a playground. it’s next to a small school, i think, or it’s a sports recreation spot. in any case, i walked by the park for the first time ever just today. i saw families and kids enjoying the the great outdoors. the park is located in the great diversified city of alameda california. so if your kids are ever dying for a place to expel some energy or if your driving by alameda with a car full of kids that are restlessly making your brain steam up then i suggest you stop by krusi park and let them run, jump and play until their hearts have not one ounce of energy left and then go home to the peace and quiet that will be your home because the kids are exhausted and almost asleep from their wonderful experience at alamedas...
Read moreWe primarily come for the playground area for my kids. There is a decent sized sandbox to play in that will fit many kids. There are 2 main playgrounds for different age levels that are separated by fences which is really nice. Typical swing sets that are on all playgrounds.
The really cool part is that the playground is next to a school that has several basketball hoops and lots of open space for play with lines pre-drawn on the pavement. When school is over, the school's marked pavement is like an extension of the playground for...
