I always stop when I'm in the area to see what shore birds are roaming the sands looking for meals. A large variety of birds can be found on any given day. A great view of San Francisco on a clear day. I always try to make time to stop by when I'm in the area. If you're a birder then it's definitely worth a stop. Sometimes it can be dead but more often than not you'll get a decent variety of birds.

Stinky but worth checking out the birds! My one year old loves watching them. The ground squirrels are also cute. On a clear day San Francisco looks pretty from the boardwalk thing.

Many birds on the beach, pushed up by the high tide. Brown Pelicans, Black-bellied Plovers, Long-billed Curlews, Marbeled Godwits, Pin-tailed Ducks and more. Beautiful day. A great place to see birds and enjoy a walk...
