Amazing Staff & Training. The staff here is knowledgeable and easy to talk to whether you're an experienced diver looking for gear and advanced training or your new and just want to learn the basics, this is the place to go. I recently completed my open water certification with Alex and I would recommend him to anyone. The training sessions where informative and Alex made sure to take the time to answer all my questions, repeat skills until I was comfortable, and point me in the right direction regarding gear and future plans. Don't wait any longer to dive. Go to Dive Alaska today! You'll wish you went sooner.

Hands down best dive shop I've been to in the past 30 years. They seem to be stocked with literally everything imaginable and at reasonable prices (at least by online and Alaska standards). The staff - Josh, Jeremy, JD, Alex, Ron, Brian and Bethany are extremely knowledgeable, extremely patient and very personable. I learned so much during my refresher course and drysuit training that I wish I had done all of my dive training through them!

Bunch of crooks. They sold me the wrong size foot pocket for my foot originally so I went back to buy the correct size (not even asking for a refund) and since they didn't have it they sold me a 7mm open cell bootie which I tried on once in the store with JD sitting right next to me watching me put it on, complaining about how tight and uncomfortable it was an basically convinced me these were going to solve all my problems with my loose foot pocket. Went back the next day to return them because I decided they were just too tight and uncomfortable and I should just order the foot pocket I need instead and was told there was a small half inch rip inside from me trying them on and they couldn't take them back and it was my fault because I ripped them when I put them on. Why would you have someone try on a open cell bootie that is so fragile it is going to rip the second you touch it even with conditioner on your foot and then render itself unreturnable? No offer of store credit or anything for selling me something I didn't even want or need in the first place. Horrible customer service - do not do business with them. I have spent a lot of money with them over the years and will not...

Dry suit scuba course taught by instructors are not rational, they will tell you not real PADI book. Everyone's physiology is different, everyone body generate heat at different rate. The instructors don't have basic knowledge on that, and they cant find you proper seals. You will be flooded, the water will vaporate and affect your buyoancy. The instructor will put 38lb wt on BCD, after you tighten it, the CG will shift to front, can't float straight, but instructors will blame you. They will put you shitty goggle, with high metabolism you have, it will be fogged, you can't see , but they will tell you that all is fine, you are the problem. So how do others are giving 5 stars, how it's works for them? If you are lucky, what these instructors used to do fits for you, then it will work for, but they really don't have full awareness and knowledge of things for dry suit course, if their skills fits you, then you are lucky. I bet they blamed so many people, and you are out there blaming yourself. Dont. Find better other place and better instructors who listens and understands you without...

Look, I can only judge by the gear I was there for - I'm not a diver, I'm a casual snorkeler who wanted better goggles.

They had a well selected array of goggles including ones capable of taking prescription lenses they already had in stock even for two-component prescriptions. They had high quality snorkels (both the fancy valve type and the lighter type, but made of better material). They had the knowledge, and the appreciation for those of us whose relationship to the sea is a few steps more casual than full scuba gear but a couple steps more hardcore than those who are fine with cheap plastic tourist crap.

Would return for future casual freeswimming needs. Or if I dare get more serious about it, given they also provide lessons for scuba. Or just to appreciate them sponsoring harbor...
