I went with 4 of my friends right after work on a Friday. It was very busy, but we sat down within 20 minutes of arriving. This was my first time there, after hearing so many good things about it. I loved the ambiance. The waitress was very kind and professional. One of my friends who has been there several times had wanted the waitress to stay and cook for us but it was way too busy, I think that may have been the only issue the whole night, and we burned 3 grills LOL We ordered the combo C, which was plenty for a group of us 5. We also got the calamari and cold noodles, all very delicious. This is my preference only, okay? My humble little opinion, I wish their bowls of rice were bigger, because I ate mine and 3 of my friends' bowls. I don't know if that was done due to western standards or what but I love rice and I need lots of it at all times. Anyway... I want to go back. Hopefully next time it won't be as busy but even if it is, we had a blast and food was pretty and tasty. We ate it too fast, that's why there aren't any pictures.

They do automatically add 20% gratuity for parties of 5 or more, which we didn't know until the end of the meal and someone questioned their bill. Our waitress was not very attentive due to being busy with other tables, and other staff had to step in and take over several times, so I personally don't agree with that. Make sure you look at your receipt because the auto gratuity was added and it still gives you the option give a tip. The gratuity is not particularly clear on receipt either so if you're not paying attention, you'll end up paying that and an extra tip on top of that.

Overall, very happy with my experience and I will be...

Over Priced and Poorly Executed. Party on 4 one BBQ pit that had a poor ventilation (we all had to take showers after cloaths smelled of BBQ). The table wasn't big enough to cook and eat from we ended up holding food plates of raw food while cooking and eating with the other. (staff thought it was funny to give us more food than would fit on the table at once) When asked if they could leave a cart we were told NO the isles are too narrow. Many food options require the purchase of two or more $40 options.

Their was also a question to what utensils were for cooked or non cooked food leaving the fear of cross contamination of food more than once at our table

Summary: For the price not recommended and for the lack of thought and execution of the experience not recommended. Gogi failed in all aspects of delivery of a well executed experience for the price point. Bill for 4 was $398 basically $100 each. For that I don't expect to be limited on table real estate nor laughed at when 50 plates are tried to be crammed into a 4x3 table; to the point we had to hold our raw food.

If you have money to burn its a one time and never again experience don't expect them to survive long term in the Anchorage market this is not...

Gogi Korean BBQ absolutely checked all the boxes. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was warm, energetic, and inviting. The staff was attentive and friendly without being overbearing, and the service moved at the perfect pace.

The food? Incredible. Every cut of meat was fresh, well-seasoned, and cooked to perfection right at the table. The side dishes were plentiful and delicious—each bite felt thoughtful and authentic. Whether you’re a Korean BBQ regular or trying it for the first time, Gogi delivers a top-tier experience.

A special shoutout to the manager, Sherry Ann, who truly elevated the entire experience. She was welcoming, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly. Her genuine hospitality and attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed—it’s clear she cares deeply about both the food and the guests.

Highly recommend for date nights, group dinners, or anyone looking to enjoy great food in a lively setting. Will definitely...

The restaurant has a dark theme, and it's elegant! It's great for a date night or to sit comfortably with up to 8 people, so you can all share the same grill. Parties bigger than 8 would need two tables. The rotating sides were great. The kimchi, radishes, sweet potatoes - mini potatoes covered in some sort of syrup, but oh so good! - were the most notable and delicious. The quality of the meats was good. Tender cuts, nicely seasoned and marinated chicken. The pork was a little fattier than I'd would have liked but good nonetheless. For a table of 8, with a few extra dishes and some beverages, the bill was around $600, or $150 per couple. This restaurant falls in my category of, once in a while, type restaurant. Service was good, friendly staff, and very respectful. The chef was 6-stars out of 5! 👨‍🍳

Super fun night out- the food was excellent! We got the combo A, and it was more than enough for 3 people. We also ordered the dumpling appetizer - (Meh). In addition, we ordered the Garlic Noodles (Yum!) and the Kimchi Fried Rice (also meh). The banchan was on point - with the kimchi being the star - Super crunchy & tangy, with a spicy little kick - (I ordered 2 refills!!) The food came out really fast, but the server kept forgetting things - it wasn't that busy, she just seemed very scattered - She was very sweet, though, which is way more important, imo. Overall, great experience- We will definitely come back!

I am so excited this place opened! The food was so yummy, and they were attentive to our table. We got the Combo A and added Pork Belly and Japchae. We learned a lot about the food and culture. The music was amazing, played some of my favorite kpop hits. 10/10 i recommend everyone to try. It's a great way to hang out with friends and family! They gave us a really nice cinnamon tea at the end and i will be looking up how to make it at home. I hope in the future they are able to serve drinks like soju to add to the atmosphere :)
