UAA has an awesome planetarium for kids and adults. I came across the UAA planetarium a month ago and it has been great. We have gone several times now and have already purchased tickets for more upcoming shows this winter. Parking is free and safe and easy on the campus. The planetarium is on the 2nd floor of the Conoco-Phillips Science building which has neat sculptures and art and exhibits to look at on your way in. The price is right at $10 for adults ($5 for kids and UAA students) and their programs are really good. They have matinees on Saturday with programs designed for kids but also have plenty of offerings for science curious grown-ups like photons and fractals and black holes.
