Two Large fenced areas, one for large breads and the other for small breads.
They are mostly grassed with large shade trees next to large pond. Beautiful views. Great walking trails with in the park next to the dog park.
For your convenience they have a dog-washing station.
It could use more, or larger buckets for water. It was busy both days we went. On average 7-15 dogs, during mid-day when we were there. Only one bowl in each pin. More dogs needed to drink at once. It is hard for more than one dog with larger breeds to drink from one small bowl.
People and pets were mostly sociable. In conversations, people mostly enjoyed the dog park. The main complaint was, the large reoccuring mud hole in large breed area.
We really enjoyed chatting with everyone and learning about the life of most of the dogs and the breeds. It was nice seeing that the majority of the dogs were adopted or rescue animals. Learning how about their challenges and what they have over come.
We travel often and have been to multiple dog parks all over the mid-west and west coast.
My recommendations that I have noticed helped in our local dog parks and others. Also to get 5 stars. ● Would be a small kiddy pool for dogs to drink out of at least in summer months. ● Either by word of mouth or by sign- ask for dog- park users if they would like to donate i.e....(bowls, pool, doggie dew bags, balls). We as a community use it. We can help provide a more wonderful experience by donating, if we have it. ● fill in reoccurring mud hole in large dog area.
All-in-all we enjoyed our time and so did our pup. He loved meeting...
Read more5 star for the variety of dog runs, and for being fenced in, and also for having water access for drinking. 4 stars for being kind of just dirt areas, which the dogs don't mind, but it would be nice if it had more patches of grass, but it really isn't terrible.
The reason we go to this park the most is that there are 3 runs. One for big dogs, onw for little dogs, and one for... I don't know "other" but you hardly see anyone in there. The big dog run will usually have little dogs in it that can hold their own. If you have a dog that is reactive, this could be a good place to work on training them for their reactivity because the fence is chain link and you can sit in the big field next to the dog run without being in with the other dogs, while trying to train for reactivity. The main/big dog run is pretty good sized and my dogs love it. The people in the park (with their dogs) are usually very good about reactive dogs.
There's a little pond next to the park where people seems to fish a lot. There are benches in some of the dog runs, but I've either missed them in the big run, or there are just metal chairs in the big run.
There are port-a-potties available, if...
Read moreMaybe I went at a bad time, I'm not sure. It was impossible to get into the park since the gates opened into nothing but huge puddles that I could not navigate, even with boots on. There was no parking available. There were many people using the parking lot to fish in the pond. I had no problem with that, but there doesn't seem to be enough parking for dog park and fishing. There is a large section of fenced in grass and trees for large dogs, but I didn't see where little dogs could go. I was, quite honestly, disappointed. The space is fenced in, and seems safe, but if it has rained, there are very large ponds and puddles to navigate. The dogs that were in the park were muddy from head to toe. Don't get me wrong, they were very happy dogs, but I wouldn't want my dog in my car after all that mud. There is a large unfenced area just past the fences that is quite wild. I take my dog there, he loves it. Timber Linn Park has many walkways and sights and is well lit at night. I very much enjoy walking my dog...
