Thanks for taking the time to read my review, if you like the review please give it a thumbs up! At the bottom I list what was included in the meals that we ordered...
Oregon Barbecue Company it's just a small walk up / drive up barbecue joint, with high-quality barbecued meats, and I tried them all! They were all tender and jucy with a nice smoked flavor.
The best meats in my opinion were the brisket, ribs and the pulled pork!
The standout side dishes for my taste were most definitely the baked beans, followed by either the sweet corn for the potato salad...
We ordered the Buckle Buster, Brisket Plate and the Lazy Dog..
The Buckle Buster included: 2 ribs, pulled pork, sliced brisket, chicken a sausage and all 4 side dishes (coleslaw, baked beans, sweet corn add potato salad)
The brisket plate included: A generous portion of sliced brisket, and two side dishes.
The lazy dog is a smoked sausage on a bun topped with pulled pork and coleslaw.
Service was friendly, prices were very reasonable, the quality was excellent, I will definitely return next time I'm in the area!
The only suggestion or recommendation that I would have, would be to add collard greens as a side dish..... it's just something I always look forward to with my...
Read morei started coming here when they just opened and didn't have very much and one of the owners was doing almost all the work. they have really done a great job at building a business that the community loves and helps support. It doesn't seem like there are very many BBQ places around Albany anymore. There are a few, but OBC blows them out of the water. i generally don't like potato salad, just every experience i have had its been super bland and just eh. But OBC potato salad is absolutely the best i have ever had. really good. only thing i would change is that they put Bacon in it and my wife is a vegetarian so she cant try it. but its not the end of the world. chicken is one of my favorites to get but the pulled pork and the brisket are always really good. i like to get a brisket by the pound and i will usually feed myself and a couple others and if we have leftovers i put them in the fridge as it almost seems like its better cold the next day. i know it sounds weird but you have to try it. the price is a little high but compared to other places its worth the price. I always recommend if someone is asking for good...

I'm an experienced BBQ chef and, and this was disappointing. I keep staring at my leftovers thinking I should finish that. Then I take another bite and am disappointed I did.
Pulled pork seemed like it was made in a crock pot, but I eventually found a piece with a little bit of bark so it did get a little bit of time in the smoker before it went into the crock pot. Not much.
Brisket was slightly over-cooked but not too bad. Seasoned with black pepper and not enough salt, and none of the salt or smoke flavor penetrated the meat. Which is what BBQ is all about - the chemical reactions between salt, meat, and smoke did not occur here. Calling the smoke ring 1/8" would be generous. Was more like eating bland roast beef.
Potato salad was more like potatoes, egg yolks, relish, and bacon bits mashed together with mayo.
Coleslaw had lots 1/4" chunks of cabbage stem and was bland.
Chicken chili and beans were good.
Come on guys! Step it up! All the old reviews...
