I took my mom for her birthday this past weekend. One of the lady's(she was small and blond) was great very friendly. She directed us to a bigger women with brown hair for directions about picking flowers. This lady did not even look our way. She didn't explain anything she didn't even look at us. My mom asked for something to put the flowers in. She ignored us, my mom asked again and this time she added if we could use the top of the box the women was emptying. The woman still not looking at us or talking to us passed the box literally over her shoulder rudely. We picked our flowers. We did not know that you could only pick so many. When we went to pay I heard the other worker also a very nice lady , she was small as well. Was telling people about leaving $5 for scissors and that would transfer to the jar when we were done picking the flowers. The bigger women who made our arrangements seem like she just did not want to be there. We left disappointed. I was upset because I was trying to take my mom somewhere different and this is what happened. And on my mom's birthday. And it was $41 dollars 🤯 wowza!!! I was very disappointed when we left and when I arrived I was so excited. Thank you to the two blond ladies that made it a little better. The other bigger women has no customer service skills. She needs training or something. And the reason saying there size and hair color is because I want be a little more clear on who the...
Read moreJust had the best family time ever making homemade, fresh-from-the-garden, salsa and blue corn tortillas chips🤤. 5 of us along with a small group participated in a work shop hosted by Big Jim farms. You pick your own tomatoes, heat (chile/jalapeños)and a variety of other ingredients. You decide what you want, how you want it (roasted, blended, chopped) and you make it. Then you learn the process of grinding blue corn and making your own blue corn tortilla chips to sample your salsa. It was so fun to watch each others mind work, then taste each others master piece😋. If you haven't taken a class, I highly recommend it. Make sure and do it with family and friends. It makes it so much more fun. The instructors were amazingly patient and knowledgeable. Best Hosts you...
Read moreWe have not visited Big Jim Farms but we have taken a couple of classes now and highly recommend these as a nice way to spend a few hours learning some fun and interesting things to do in the kitchen. Today we really enjoyed learning how to make Chips and Salsa with Sierra. She guided us to the garden and described what we should gather to make our own salsa. It was such a pleasant experience getting to pick the very freshest ingredients and then turning those ingredients into our own personal jar of fresh or fire roasted salsa. Sierra was not only very knowledgeable but she was very engaging and patient. Thanks for a pleasant Saturday morning...
