This apartment complex is disgusting. Moved in and realized there are roaches everywhere. COMING from under the stove. THEYRE in the cabinets in the fridge. WE moved the fridge to put some roach killer, and there was a gap in the wall.about 5 inches from the fridge to the stove. The apartment was disgusting and dirty. The next day, the toilet and tub were clogged .The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. The toilet still had gunk from previous tenants. THE stove was broken, and the blinds were messed up. THE CARPET WAS STAINED AND NOT EVEN CLEANED. THERE WAS a murder right next to my apartment, and if that's not bad enough, the 3rd daughter had a terrible allergic reaction. Little bumps all over her body. Had to take her to the Er. I moved, and upon leaving, the apartment was cleaned. Cleaner than when I moved IN. I GET A INVOICE FOR OVER 7K... SAYING ALL THE ISSUES IN THE APARTMENT WERE FROM ME. I NOTIFIED THE OFFICE ABOUT THE ISSUES I SEEN THE DAY AFTER K MOVED IN. THEYRE CHARGING ME FOR THEIR NASTINESS.. i wish i could post videos i have videos of the condition of my kids break out and the condition of the nasty apartment. I have emails from them not willing to help

They harassed me and didnt tell me they had a 24 hour watch on my apartment which is ILEGAL. They harassed me saying I didn't pay a bill when it was paid for and sent to them. Then insisted to harassed me to put a 7 day notice to pay it when there was proof of the payment. Then told me to pay over 4000 to fix the issue. Thanks cinnamon, also my clothes were stolen from the laundry, with hookers that infest the apartments, probably why theirs bedbug infestation which is noted on the paperwork u sign when u move in:) good luck, cuz my luck ran out by paying my bills with this place. I told the manager also whats up, and why it needed to be fixed ans he sent a message back saying " how can I assist you." After sending almost 2 paragraphs of the issues. I have videos and pics of when i moved in. And still is insisting I owe over 4000 dollars for a run down apartment that didn't work from the beginning

*Update: I've moved out and no matter how clean you leave the place, you can forget about getting your deposit back. First of all, I was a model tenant for over six years. I was never late on my rent, never caused problems. I've lived in three different apartments and each time left it immaculate, same as in this case. I shampooed the carpets knowing they were going to be ripped out and discarded because they are remodeling the older apartments when a long term tenant moves out. They claimed there were burns in the carpet which shouldn't have mattered because they are tearing it out whether there's damage or not. I even went out of my way and purchased drip pans for the ancient stove which I had to find online because the appliances are from the 70's. I am planning to fight for my deposit. Then they said I owed $1,097.00 in rent when my rent was $733.00 per month plus the $100.00 month to month fee because I stayed one month after my lease expired. Where the rest came from I've, I have no idea. Beware of this place because they will screw you any way they can upon move out.

I've lived here for three years and my experiences with Cinnamon Tree have mostly been positive. The maintenance crew totally rocks! You call to fix a problem and they are there within 5 to 10 minutes tops. I am partially disabled and they have gone out of their way to help me when they didn't have to. I've never had issues with management except for one person and I don't think she's even there anymore. They are usually helpful and Ben has always been great. Laundry room does tend to have issues, you usually take a gamble with the dryers because half of the time you'll find one that doesn't dry. They are fixed promptly, however, that's after you've spent money just to determine it doesn't work and then you can't get reimbursed. They probably need to upgrade the vending machines because they NEVER work and it would be nice to have a vending machine that contains laundry products. The grounds are well maintained and the pool as well. It's true, the walls are super thin and you can hear EVERYTHING next door, and things you really don't want to hear. It's not true that the cops are always here. On occasion, but that's anywhere. I consider this property safe considering the area it's in. They've done much better with security being here more often and security actually does their job. But I rarely see the police here. Bugs are sometimes an issue. I've lived in three different apartments since I've been at Cinnamon Tree and only had cockroach issues in one apartment. Besides if you ask management for the exterminator to come by more often, they will adhere to your request. The only other complaint I have is that the keep raising the rent. My rent has been raised three times in the three years I've been here, basically every time I renew my lease. Otherwise, overall, Cinnamon Tree is a 9 out of 10...

Mixed bag of feelings towards this place and maybe Albuquerque in general... but I will say that Emily, Jordan, and Heather are really great (leasing staff). Emily was the one who walked us through the entire process, showed us around, recommended things and places to go in the area and etc. Incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful! I have never felt afraid or ashamed to call the office after ive put a work order in and speak to Emily or anyone else in the office about my maintenance issues, or really anything. Emily is always ready for a solution and an immediate call to action. It's like 10 out of 10 times. She makes sure to stay in contact with maintenance for you and follows up to make sure everything works out okay. She's great. Aside from the staff here, Cinnamon Tree is quite special... lol, if you dont know the area.. Get to know if before you come and decide if you are comfortable with living in this part of town or not. We had no idea prior to moving here. However, we really love our apartment. The layout is great, with plenty of natural lighting. It's spacious and functional. They are currently working on getting brand new equipment for the gym and furniture for the clubhouse, which we are thrilled about. They've been working hard on it, and we've been waiting so patiently for it to be finished. Like i said before, this particular part of town is not too "friendly," to say the least. We've had mulitple things stolen off the porch, we've seen more Ambulances and firetrucks roll through here in one week than the firestation lol, have had multiple incounters with folks who Clearly do not live here (huge homeless crowd in this area), and have heard some unsettling gun shots nearby late into the night. But apparently, that is common in this part of town! Crazy.

I'm rating Cinnamon Tree with 3 stars because I feel like the staff are doing the best they can to keep it safe, clean, operating, and a friendly environment. You really don't find many places that are willing to communicate and help out their residents. I am also only giving it 3 stars because this part of ABQ is one of the more crime filled areas. Honestly, you can only do so much to keep unwanted people out, so it's really just part of the experience when renting or buying in this area.

If you are reading reviews to get an idea about this place, then continue to do your research on more than just the apartment and really determine your wants and needs before making a decision. Get to know the area and tour the complex. Moving here has been such a learning curve, and we've gained a lot of experience just from...

I'm going to be blunt: most negative reviews I've seen here are from people who seem to be exaggerating. The reviews on the first page are dramatic and entitled. There are no needles littering the ground, but we are in Albuquerque, so it's possible to see one now and then. The grounds team can't be expected to pick up every syringe 24/7/365. I've been here four months and haven't seen a single needle.

One person complained that her dishwasher smelled funny, but that's her own fault. When a unit is vacant, no one is going to come in and run the dishwasher with placeholder dishes. That's ridiculous. The dishwasher sat there unused, and the smell was stagnant water. All she needed to do was run the dishwasher with some soap or dish pods, and the smell would have been gone. But she chose to do nothing and blame the complex.

As for the grounds, you might see a rare piece of trash, but the team is very good about picking it up. Considering the location of the apartments, I'm impressed by how well-maintained the grounds are. I honestly feel like I'm in a nicer part of Albuquerque. Once you get behind the gates, the complex is beautiful. The landscaping, décor, and vibe are top-notch. It's one of the best apartment complexes I've ever lived in (I'm 33 years old).

The team is also friendly and willing to help. As long as you communicate with them promptly and efficiently, they will step up and help you. They always answer the maintenance phone, and if they don't answer, they'll promptly show up at your door. The administrative team is also very responsive to email. I've never been left hanging on email or voicemail for a weekend or holiday. They handle business that day if it's possible to do so.

My apartment was renovated when I moved in. They changed the carpet, redid the bathroom tiling, and took care of any necessary issues right away. They even noticed things I didn't catch and got them fixed without me having to do anything.

I've had nothing but a good experience at Cinnamon Tree. The new management has turned the complex around. It's hard to believe that a complex in this location is so peaceful, calm, organized, clean, and well-put-together. But the right team can make it happen, and I think Greystar chose a great manager. I recommend Cinnamon Tree to everyone who needs an apartment in this area. I have three coworkers who live in the other buildings now based on my recommendation, and they all seem to be enjoying it...
