The 40th Anniversary Celebration was an event of a lifetime for me! As the proud mother of a staff member of Albuquerque Open Space(s) I learned so much at the panel discussion and reveled in the celebration and look back of all the accomplishments thus far, projects in the works, and hopes and plans for the future. I cannot be more amazed by the day to day discovery and wonderment and the beauty of our environment. But, to learn from these experts of our unique open spaces they work to protect and preserve, wow! You will see our ecosystem; the diversity and ever evolving and delicate ecology that happens spontaneously and yet ever so intentionally with great inspiration, experimentation, exploration, collaboration and hard work with renewed appreciation! The facility is educational and houses great spaces for exhibition of art, events, amazing gardens, and places to take your children or the child or intellectual in you, to learn and take away what is vital about being part solution and participant; formal and, or organic. It is a fun and entertaining space, a trail head, as well as a place for music, dance, poetry, the arts in all forms and formats; and for this event, cake, too! BRAVO! TO 400 MORE!

Simple, small Open Space with a few shaded benches to sit on to have your lunch. There's a bench overlooking a tiny pond. Nice tiles labelling native plants. Garden shows a few traditional planting methods in miniature form. There's an overlook to neighboring agricultural fields. Didn't go inside building; seems to have a children's area that was being remodeled in May, 2021.

Awesome jewel off of Coors road. A nice new facility with beautiful art and wonderful history of the surrounding area. Inside has telescopes for bird watching. Outside is a beautiful area with a great open space and a flora garden. Definitely not an A-Typical Albuquerque establishment and gets an A+ from me.

I love this place. There are always new art exhibits to see inside. It is a beautiful place to walk around. In the summer there are gardens and shaded beaches to sit at with a beautiful view. In the winter you may get to see geese and Sandhill cranes. There are many amazing programs for children and youth to get to learn and explore. I love the community art seed mandala that is created to fees the birds and celebrate winter! You can also take a short walk to the river from here. I love going back...

Been coming here since it opened! I love the Albuquerque open spaces & I love a good interpretive center. This visitor center hits every criteria I want in an interpretive center. It has great informational displays, informative staff, and a broad variety of learning tools for people of all ages. I'm especially fond of having an icy cold water bottle and hanging out up on the tower -- the views are incredible! I'm also in love with the map of the city in the courtyard: it's a gorgeous...
