Tree Tots for little ones under 3 years was amazing!! I was on the fence about joining at 10 months because I thought babe was a bit young. But took the leap and had absolutely no regrets! The space is safe for the kids to really play without having to âguardâ them all the time from sharp rocks and garbage etc found in other parks. They all seem to really enjoy it and have fun interacting with each other. Baby occasionally has stranger fear but that all seems to disappear at tree tots as the environment is so chill and relaxed.
Ms Sally always sets up Lots of fun activity stations but most of all just being around the trees with the other kids is just a good time. They like the stories and the songs and especially snack time. I also love how baby sign language was incorporated into one of the regular songs.
As a mother, I would say another awesome benefit was my own personal wellbeing too since we donât always get to enjoy the outdoors much with tiny ones, and this is such a lovely opportunity to reacquaint with nature and destress. Itâs helped us feel more comfortable exploring outside and I found we are doing more on our own now too. Terrific to meet and spend time with other like minded parents and...
Read moreWe started with SOL in the fall of 2017. We were looking for a place where our son could learn to play and cooperate with others, learn self-reliance and safely explore the limits of his physical capabilities. Over the years he has made many friends at SOL, logged countless hours of outdoor imaginative play, learned to dress himself appropriately for the weather, and explored quite a bit of the East Mountains. The teachers are passionate about working with children and guiding them in their outdoor adventures. They have safety principles that they review with the kids so everyone knows how to play and explore safely. We've had a great experience with SOL and would recommend their sessions to anyone looking for an outdoor...
Read moreFor reals, this forest school is the greatest thing we did for our little âtreeschoolerâ. The teachers (forest guides) are knowledgeable, wise, kind, and do a fantastic job helping the class learn important life skills, social skills, how to be safe outside and most importantly how to care for our Earth and enjoy her đ we drove ~40 mins each way every week to come to this school and it was absolutely worth it. Year round schooling is so good for building resilience and grit and I definitely noticed my child feeling more comfortable/steady in challenging environments & situations. 10/10 would recommend this school!! Start as...
