Fads & Frames — Attraction in Alexandria

I am soooo disappointed! Let me start by saying that I LOVE Fads and Frames. Especially when it's Christmas and they put up all the trees and decorations. I brought my granddaughter to look, she loved it. But not tonight. My husband and I went to pick up some of the mums that were on sale. Soon they will die but I love them. I went in and there were other people buying some and they said, "The mums are only $5!" I said that's what I want and looked at the guy ringing people up and said "Can you just use theirs to ring it up then then we can pick them up and leave." The other customers said here is the bar code you can use ours. The employee guy said no you have to walk to the back of the store and get these inside. I said "Really are you going to make us walk all the way back there?" "He said you have to that's the only way to get out and pay for them, Honey" it sounded condescending. So we started walking back. When we got to the back section the doors were locked. We had to walk back. The employee came and unlocked the door. He stood there and watched while we searched for some sort of basket, loaded them and pushed them up front. They were very heavy. We have both had several back surgeries and are not supposed to lift that much. I literally couldn't do it. My husband did it. The guy offered NO help himself nor from another guy that his job is to help carry out. NO HELP. We pushed it up front then we had to load them into our truck. The guy was VERY RUDE. Well here is goes... My wife and I went there yesterday to pick up some random plants. I wanted to give them 5 stars but I just couldn't there getting 2. My reason is : There was a really bad damaged plant that I wanted to buy so I asked the lady about it she said she will see what she could do she also mentioned that the owner would just write it off as a damage plant than sell it as a discounted plant. I'm sorry I cannot pay full price for a plant that has no soil in the pot it's been flipped over all the leaves was broken so why would you try to sell it for full price knowing that somebody actually wanted to buy it but it was damaged. I was willing to pay more than 50% . So why but damaged plants at full price. So what I'm thinking they may be think I did it. That funny is they I roll there little cameras back and see that it was already flipped over and already on the dieing. But the part that got me was we she told me no. I absolutely LOVE Fad’s & Frames. My mother introduced me to this place years ago when the store was in Pineville. The prices here for EVERYTHING are sooooo reasonable & you will not find better quality plants anywhere close. Their silk flower picks are absolutely amazing, too. They have everything you can think of: home decor, seasonal decor, silk flowers and live plants.
