I started online classes as of 10/2/23, enrolled since 9/26/23. Strayer University Financial aid has "red flagged" My student account with an "Identity Verification form" and froze all award money for the fall quarter for what ever reason. This delay has caused me to be evicted from my student housing (which currently I am living on the street) homeless, delayed my time from my classes, and forced me to drop from the school itself. I have followed instructions and complied with 28 submission attempts over a months worth of submissions of documentation and supporting documentation in the student online portal. Now, every time I would get in contact with Strayer Financial Aid or the "F.A.S.T. team" whether it be via online chat, e-mail, and phone, there is NO getting direct help or a means of expediting a document that has been submitted and needing direct attention from their "verification team." Yet, once I request to be dropped from courses and school, Financial aid is really prompt in dropping my student account and charge me their dropping fees. I find that very ironic to believe that they will take their sweet time in "disbursing" award aid money from FASFA aka Pell grant, be slow, very snail-like slow in "disbursing" any additional award aid money from the SCHOOL LOANS under YOUR NAME, yet when it comes to charging for a means of a measly means of an education, Financial Aid will be lightning fast to charge you what their "drop fees" are and not take accountability on their side of releasing government assistance. What I also do not come to understand, is the same identification, same documentation I used to ENROLL into strayer University through ADMISSIONS, Financial aid department will not use to satisfy their "identity verification form" red flag process by any means. Now, when "partnering up" with Admissions to resolve this "identity verification form," Admissions Ms.Kelsey Rodabough (on a recorded line) say she don't know about that form. AND according to her, she cannot cross assist or have access to financial aid documents. Now, one concern I did have which I disclosed with Ms.Kelsey there in Admissions is if me residing out of a hotel and having a PO BOX mailing address will be a factor in me having future delay or problems in my time at Strayer University, Ms.Kelsey Rodabough said, "No, that will not be a factor for you having any issues while you are attending Strayer." On a recorded line that was the means of our conversation way before I said "yes, enroll me." But of course because of the Strayer University Financial Aid mishap, I was forced to break and breach contract all because Financial Aid says that I am in it for the money and not the education, hence "Identity Verification form." If you'd look at my weeks 1-4 school grade on my courses I have had held a 102.67%. Yes, I do need award money to sustain a student life while going to school but that award money is needed now and not later when hell freezes over. Worst mistake of pursuing a means of a higher education. No help at all from these...
Read moreFantastic University. I have been to SNHU, Purdue, and Simpson University and Strayer University is by far the BEST university ever. I don't see how everyone has issues with financial aid because I had NO issue. Only issue I had was ONE professor who was not particularly friendly and that's it. I HIGHLY recommend this University. Literally the best....
