I have not been to the movie theater in years. I see things have changed. I am one who still likes human interaction, so I was thrown off by not seeing folks behind the counter there to help. I needed to use my Veterans discount for the purchase of my ticket and I had to flag someone down to process this because it could not be done on those cute little monitors. The young lady who helped me was probably 😫 tired, but she was not "all there", (so to speak). Anyhoot, I think she made the other young ladies behind me mad because she was taking too long to get her thoughts together and complete my transaction. Again, maybe this employee was just tired. She never even asked me for my government-issued ID to receive the discount. Yep, she must have been tired...
...anyhoo...the movie I went to see was good, the theatre was clean, and not crowded (which I liked). Aside from that it was a good experience. I have no real complaints. Although it was different from the last time I stepped foot inside a movie theatre, different in the sense that I felt a loss of flair, fun, and excitement of how it once was.
I think it's the changing of the times in a sense. Or, maybe it's just me. I could have just enjoyed that movie at home on my couch honestly, but I wanted to come out and support this particular movie and those who made it, and I am glad that I did. Hey...and why...
Read moreFirst time in a different Theater while visiting the Hoffman. This visit, we selected Dolby theater. I didn't know the Hoffman had Reserved Seating. We went on $5.00 Tuesday's. Paid about $10.50 versus the $18 ticket. The Dolby was awesome. The seats are black leather, with spa like controls. The seats have motion features, every boom or big movement on the Screen, our seats moved! Plenty of seating. No problem with people being in the way. I really appreciate the upgrades! I will definitely return. Parking: For whatever reason, the parking lots are closed. You must use the Parking Garage. It's free. Validate your ticket and your good. Please arrive at least 10 minutes (extra) early, as there are limited spaces to park and you have to wait in line to enter the garage, then walk into the Theater. 2 Concession stands upper/lower level. Bathrooms stay clean! Mini arcade. Pleasant Staff. There is an elevator and an escalator for your convenience. Also, on site there are 2 restaurants, Ruby Tuesday's and a Grille. Across from the Hoffman there are a few more...
Read moreI like the idea that you can order in advance whatever snacks and/or actual dinner from surrounding restaurants or their lobby concession stand. Employees were friendly. Not the most comfortable seats. Old school theater seats with not a lot of room to adjust and no way to prop up your feet and seats are not padded well. Sitting in one place for 2+ hours in uncomfortable seats is hard on the back for some people like my Dad who is in his late 70s or my daughter who has had some spinal surgeries. If you go during certain times though the price is terrific! You have to park around the corner in a parking garage but it's not far from...
