More than half of the washers had lightly taped "Out Of Order" notes on them. There were also Out of Order notes that had fallen on the floor (due to the careless way they were secured.) The dryers however were amazing! Fairly good value as the heavy duty washers were $5.50 and the standard washers were $3.25. Dryers give 6 minutes per quarter, and a heavy-ish load will dry for 50 to 75 cents. It was refreshing to see that greed hasn't infiltrated everywhere YET, Kudos to the proprietors for keeping it reasonable and for having the amazing insight to run a much needed 24 HOUR laundromat. The place was packed when I got there at 10:30 pm and was still jamming at 1:30 am when I left. Now to be honest the place is old and run down and the machines were not really clean or highly maintained, and there was no water in the bathroom for the toilet. If you're scared to go anywhere at night alone, or are judgemental and snooty you may find this place a little Sketchy. I am not any of those things and was ecstatic to find a 24 hour laundry on my side of town despite the aforementioned conditions. I may be wrong but this is one of maybe 3 or 4 in operation within a 100 mile radius of Seattle. I will be frequenting this laundry for the duration or until other people have the insight to stay open...
Read moreI don't know when the people who gave this place good reviews last visited, but this place is one of, if not THE, worst - I wouldn't even call it a laundromat. Lets start with the fact that the one and only change machine not only looked like it was from the 70's, it didnt work, which you only discovered after trying to stuff bills in it and then realizing that there was a sort of light next to "out of service". I mean... am I crazy to think a WORKING change machine is MANDATORY for a place that only takes quarters?!?
At this point i should have just went to Bensons, but i was already there so i scoured my purse and car for 18 quarters, which took me about 20 minutes.
Picking a machine... More machines were broken than usable, and worse yet, the ones not marked should have been, including the one I wasted detergent and 18 quarters on.
The machine filled with water and then the door popped.open and it started spilling out and the machine wouldn't go back on, just had an error message. No number to call for service or a refund or anything.
WORST POSSIBLE CHOICE FOR ANYONE NEEDING TO DO LAUNDRY. GO TO BENSONS, ITS LIKE 10 MINUTES AWAY AND IS...
Read moreThis is the worst laundromat I've ever been to, and I've been to many.
Most of the machines didn't work. Unfortunately for me, including the one that I sank my 18 quarters into, which had NOT been labeled as out of order.
The unlabeled broken machine I wasted my money on filled with water, then without provocation by anyone, decided to unlock itself and spilled the soapy dirty water everywhere. I tried to close it to see if it would go, but nope. So now my laundry was sopping wet, and I had to take it in sections to the bathroom to squeeze out as much as I could because, wait for it...
THIS LAUNDROMAT HAS A SINGLE COIN MACHINE THAT I WOULD GE GUESS IS FROM THE 70S, AND - SHOCKER - IT DOESNT WORK.
Remember my 18 quarters? Wouldn't you assume that a refund is more than appropriate considering my manual labor squeezing water? NOPE. THERE IS NO CONTACT INFO AND NO ONE AROUND.
The fact that the place looks like no one ever cleans it is the least of my complaints.
If you decide to do your laundry here, which I SO STRONGLY ADVISE YOU NOT TO, bring your own quarters and use a machine that you saw someone else use first to make...
