TL;DR: We got married here August of 2024 and it was absolutely perfect, everything I wanted it to be. I can’t recommend Wedgewood Aliso enough. The all-inclusive price was fair and convenient, especially because we planned it from across the country. LOTS more detail below if you want it!
The vendors: the Wedgewood package includes invitations, linens, cake, table florals, DJ and officiant. We used our own officiant. The vendors are It’s All About the Cake, Little Hill Designs Florals and DJ Maestro (or at least they were as of our wedding date). They’re all fabulous. I booked a trip in April and was able to do the cake tasting, the florist meeting and the planning meeting with Wedgewood all in a few days. The invitation website is a bit clunky, and I highly recommend you order samples before you commit to your final design. They were very high quality. It’s All About the Cake can be a little slow in their email responses, but don’t worry - I felt perfectly at ease once I did my tasting. Everything was delicious and they were very attentive. Their classic flavors were the best and that’s what we went with. They even serve you champagne. They are also a lunch spot and I recommend eating here while you’re at it. It was great. Little Hill Designs: i sent them my Pinterest board ahead of time. Apparently the flowers I liked were very expensive, but they were great at working within the Wedgewood allotted budget. I ended up doing bud vases with candlesticks (provided by LH) and I loved the way it looked. I recommend adding on the ceremony florals. You can’t beat the Wedgewood contracted price. I will say that LH is a premium florist, and if you want to add on anything outside of that (which you do directly with LH), their prices reflect that. This was not a priority for me so I opted to DIY bouquets and aisle decor. You can call your local Trader Joe’s a couple of weeks in advance and they can order extra eucalyptus for you if that’s your vibe. We did pay for the cake florals. DJ Maestro: we had DJ Caleb and he was AMAZING. We sent him a Spotify playlist ahead of time just so that he understood our taste and he did a phenomenal job of using that + his own DJ skills to really give us a party. True Photography: this is an add-on that we opted for and we have no regrets. The price was very fair and we got two photographers, Anita and Jen. They were both fantastic. Our photos are beautiful. We got like, literally 4000 photos. I spoke to their admin girls a couple of times before the wedding and they were always so helpful.
Other things to note: You get both a banquet manager and day-of coordinator. We had McKenna and Breanna, respectively. They are both incredible at their jobs. McKenna made sure we were always taken care of. Our food was brought to us at our sweetheart table, our drinks were waiting for us when we sat down and we never had empty glasses. We even got to-go boxes at the end of the night. Breanna is everything you want in a wedding coordinator. Firm, organized, professional, but was also always kind. the FOOD was phenomenal. We got multiple compliments from our guests about how impressive it was, especially considering it was a buffet. I attached a photo of our selections and I recommend them all. they give you a list of signature drinks you can choose two from. We picked the “Mint to Be” and the “Espresso Cocktail” which is an espresso martini, but it’s served in a tumbler instead of a martini glass. Delicious. We all drank these all night. we got married on a Thursday (less $). The fireside ceremony site is NOT available on Thursdays. Just keep that in mind. I was scared to get married on a golf course, but you can’t even tell it’s a golf course in most of the photos. You just see trees and mountains. we opted for our own napkins because I didn’t love their color selection and I could order them in bulk from Amazon for the same price as removing them from our package.
If you have made it this far, congratulations! I hope you choose this venue and love it as...
Read moreI recently attended a wedding at this venue through Wedgewood Weddings. I was a bridesmaid and had spent the day before and the morning of the event making sure everything was perfect for the bride to be. The event was perfectly planned seeing as how it took the bride two years of planning every detail (thanks COVID). So you can imagine how excited I was to see this brides special day finally come. I was very shocked and disgusted with some things I saw and heard about throughout the evening. For starters I sat down outside while waiting for the family photos to finish and noticed right next to where the guests had just been seated for the ceremony, was vomit in the rose bushes from a previous wedding. It was disgusting and for how much the wedding cost the bride and groom I was appalled. Later in the evening as I was walking out of the dining room to use the bathroom I almost slipped on the marble floors because for some reason there was water that had spilled and was trailing down the entire hallway. This evening only got worse, as the DJ started doing last call we were notified that it was our responsibility to pull all the decorations from the tables and IMMEDIATELY. As we rushed to get all the things packed up for the bride, I went back to the bridal suite to collect my things only to find the bride and a server crying walking out followed by the banquet captain Sandi. I was completely shocked to see the bride crying ON HER WEDDING DAY and curious as to why this server was crying. Come to find out a table was rude to her and she was having a hard day and so she and Sandi her banquet captain felt it appropriate to burden a BRIDE with this information. They decided to isolate the bride to accost her with this information. I understand that the service industry is difficult, but this reaction was extremely inappropriate. Sandi then proceeded to threaten the bride and groom and called the police and told them we all had to leave to property immediately. This meant that the bride and groom along with any straggling guests had to rush to pack things in cars. It was quite a surreal experience, so many people had no way to get back to the hotel nearby because their ride was rushed off by the groom who was doing his best to diffuse the situation. This meant the best man had to make several trips back and forth to collect guests who had been stranded. I would never recommend this place to anyone. To any bride looking into having your wedding here, don’t. Save yourself the headache, and if for some reason you do decide to have it here then I would suggest having it catered by someone you trust because it was quite evident the banquet staff including the captain was not trained and very...
Read moreMy husband and I got married here in September of 2024. Overall, our experience was wonderful :) And we are very happy we went with Aliso Viejo Wedgewood! We had an amazing wedding day, and our guests thoroughly enjoyed the day and their experience as well! There are some outstanding positive things I want to highlight specifically!
The highlights: The venue is absolutely gorgeous! We had our ceremony at the fireside location. We loved the view of the mountains and over the golf course and so did our guests! To any future brides and grooms - just keep in mind that the venue does neighbor a community pool and a country club. They assured us that neither the country club or the pool would be a bother by the time our ceremony started, and we are happy to report that this was the case! The team - The Wedgewood team was so helpful, cheerful, flexible, professional and pleasant throughout the entire process. From our initial tour to the wedding day, we felt well cared for. And they were all easy to get a hold of! Our day of coordinator, Breanna, and our Banquet Caption, Brianna, were fantastic and did a great job taking care of us and our day. What stood out especially at our reception, while we were focused on connecting with our guests, they made sure we had our food and drinks. And kept coming to our sweetheart table to see if we needed anything. I can't tell how much that meant to us. They even added personalized touches in our bride and groom suites! Also, also they did a lovely job doing their absolute best to make sure everything went the way we wanted the day to go! The food - the food was amazing! Our guests loved the food. We went with the buffet option, and we are glad we did. The timeline - The timeline was well put together, organized, and thorough. We were able to modify anything if need be. Both the timeline of the wedding day and the overall planning process was well structured.
The only thing that would've made our experience even more amazing has to do with communication. While the team was easy to get a hold of and happy to help, we were often communicating with multiple team members throughout the planning process, and some details got missed in translation. It would've been easier if we were only communicating with one person the entire time!
Overall, we are really happy with our experience and glad we picked Aliso Viejo Wedgewood! We also loved being able to customize our package so we could get what we wanted without paying for the...
