Sabrosada Fresh Mexican Food — Restaurant in Laguna Woods

I came here today (07/17) to get food as I have many times before. The lady who took our order around 1:15 didn't seem to understand what we wanted at all. One of the items I ordered was the flautas combination plate, and even though it was said multiple times the lady put three flautas instead. Then another item I almost wanted was the sabrosada bowl but the lady said the shrimp would cost extra and that it was 3 pieces of shrimp in the bowl for a certain price, and if I wanted 5 pieces of shrimp it would cost $5 more. Because I already knew it was going to be skimpy on the meat at that point, I asked if instead I could order the half carne asada fries. When we read the receipt it said that we had ordered 3 flaunts instead of the combination plate and we were charged for the shrimp sabrosada bowl so we had to go back to correct the order with a different cashier who knew what they were doing. Right before the person I was with came back with the receipt I had redeemed my points for a medium Agua Fresca drink. A different lady had redeemed it on the screen when I turned it for her and then she was about to help when the person I was with came up and interrupted saying the order was inaccurate on the receipt and needed to be corrected. So the other lady that was supposed to fill my drink walked away to stand next to a drive thru window when no one was in the drive thru while the server who's been there longer helped correct the transaction. After the order was corrected instead of giving me my drink I was still waiting on after I asked again I was told by the other lady to wait and she called the next customer to help with their order. After the next customer she called the customer after that and put in his order as well while I was still waiting. After that customer ordered then the customer before's order was ready so she made sure their order was ready in the bag while I was still waiting on a drink. There were about 3 other employees in the front area but none of them offered to fill the drink. After those other customers left then I had to remind the person back at the cashier again that I had redeemed a drink 8 minutes ago and they had to ask the other lady to confirm that I had redeemed a reward before they got me my drink. The guy with more experience who handed us the order seemed to be nice so I wouldn't say the service was completely terrible but overall it definitely wasn't the best...

Ok... So this is one of my favorite places to eat. I like the chicken tacos (hard shell). They are messy but wonderful and 1 is filling but I often get 2 as I am 6' 6" and I'm kind of a piggy. I really like the breakfast burrito but always ask for the potatoes on the side. I don't like them in my burritos. They always put a ton of eggs, ham, and yummy bacon and cheddar cheese in it. This is a Big Boy breakfast so be hungry if you order it.

My favorite is the Carne Asada SUPER BURRITO!!! I love love LOVE this MEATY MEAL! I am kind of picky and have discovered that you can order it however you like and they NEVER give you an attitude about it. My order is always NO PICO and GUACAMOLE ON THE SIDE. I challenge anyone to eat this and not have a chunk of steak in every bite.

One last thing... they offer a senior discount for anyone 56 or older. It's not advertised so you have to ask for the discount at the counter or drive through window. I'm 57 and estimate I have saved over 100 dollars easily in the many months I have been eating here. It's AWESOME and the people are really nice here. Don't forget to check out the salsa bar or ask for hot sauce when ordering at the window....
